Signed with Georgia Tech and played there as a freshman. Here are those highlights:

5'10" 227# on the GCCC roster site. Watching his GT video, seems like a power back. IMO, he doesn't appear to be extremely fast by any means from watching the video above. GT had him pretty close to the QB. He was GTs leading rusher his freshman year.

He was dismissed from Georgia Tech for violating athletic department rules:

It was the third strike for Mills, who had two suspensions last year for violations of the football team’s rules. The one that did him in was a violation of the athletics department’s rules. This was a kid who was so good his freshman season, in between his two suspensions, that he could have been one of Johnson’s best-ever running backs.

If Greg Bell does only play one year before declaring for the draft (as he has stated as his plans), another JUCO isn't a bad idea (especially a D1 proven back)... especially if Bryant's knee doesn't allow him to return and if Washington happens to not make it to campus.

2019 RBs (if Bell leaves)
SR - Tre Bryant (if still here and healthy)
JR - Jaylin Bradley
SO - Miles Jones, Maurice Washington (yet to qualify)

I thought Scott Frost only wanted kids with good characters? Sounds problematic...
Sometimes kids don't learn until they find out there are consequences. I have personally seen juco kids redeem themselves after they've taken the 2x4 to the head and figured out that they screwed up big time. The good ones make the most out of their second chance. The leash might be shorter some times.

the question is why is Nebraska offering a RB for this years class right now? Makes you wonder if someone has left.

or maybe they don't feel 100% confident that Maurice Washington will qualify...

One article I read said he will be a December graduate.

And from his highlight video, he looks a lot better than what we had at running back last year.

I think Ozigbo looks like a better back than that video. I just think our OLine was so bad last year that all of our RBs struggled. I'm hopeful that the improvement in our OLine will show up with a lot more longer runs.

Our line was awful for sure. But that doesn't excuse how bad our backs looked after Bryant got hurt. Bryant was playing behind the same line and he looked great.

Because this guy is 5' 10" and 220 lbs and led Georgia Tech in rushing as a freshman with 800 yards and 12 TD's. That could be why.

Georgia Tech runs a much different offense, they run triple option. Running for 800 yards isn't that impressive in an offense that runs it 50 times a game.

For Frost's offense, give me the guy with 4.4 speed who can make people miss in the open field.

Time will tell If we even get him. But the guy has power and speed and would be in the discussion to give the B1G fits.

This is an interesting offer. On one hand, I figure that they know this kid well since he's from southern Georgia and was probably recruited by someone on the NU staff. And hey, he did rush for 12 TD's for an ACC team. But on the other hand, he was thrown off the team last fall and then really didn't do much last year for Garden City. Was he injured?

If we're going to take another RB now, why not give Milton Sargbah a chance?

NOT. A. BIG. TEN. RUNNING. BACK.

I don't understand why everyone has a difficult time understanding this reality about Sargbah. The kid is a full qualifier and a great student. His lack of offers is all about ability and strength. He's either a D2/FCS caliber player, or a JUCO kid who needs to prove he can play at this level.

Yes, he was injured last year. He played in only two games and then broke his collar bone and was out for the season. He had only seven carries for 61 yards, including a run of 51 yards.

That was my first thought. Although our teams of the 90s we very good, it is no secret they had a ton of off field issues. I hope we don't go back down that road again. There are plenty of other players out there. Not sure why this staff would want to mess with a known problem kid. Unless he has cleaned up is act.

Yeah, I've seen your assessment of players before. LOL indeed! Ozigbo is much quicker getting through the hole than that kid.

You don't know what the fvkc you're talking about. Stop trying to discuss football. And my assessments have always been accurate when it comes to film and talent. A player's character, work ethic, attitude, and potential injury future are however impossible to gauge. Mills was a stud in high school with offers from the likes of Auburn, Florida State, Bama, and most of the SEC/ACC. He chose Ga Tech because he could start as a true freshmen. He was a Freshmen All American, and had big games vs. the likes of Clemson and Georgia.

Mills is an NFL talent. Devine is a marginal Big Ten reserve.

It's starting to smell like piss in here...
I looked at his game logs too and you are on some thin ice. Big game versus Georgia = 7 totes for 24 yds and a TD (3.4 YPC), no receptions, in a close loss.
I'm not arguing your assessment. He does remind me of some of the Wisconsin backs they've had over the years. He's a bowling ball with some burst. NFL talent.
On the topic, the connections that this staff has in the south in states like Florida and Georgia should not be undersold. I appreciate what guys like Held and Co. are doing. Held might again pull 2 solid running backs in this class. It's a welcome sight after the last coaching regime neglected the recruiting of the RB position.

It is indeed a "very" welcome sight. And yes, Wisconsin has had endless stud rbs lately......it's time for us to have that too. I just keep hoping SF has a magic wand for our hopeless Oline.

Wisconsin has consistent offensive line play. They dont really do anything fancy but what they do they’re good at doing. Those backs wont make or break them but their line play will.

Yeah, that's true enough. It's high, HIGH time to return to a real-deal smashmouth pipeline.

Agree completely. Not to say that Wisconsin's recent RBs weren't superior to Nebraska's - because they were. But none of them were taking handoffs with Dylan Utter in their lap.
