News release via Nebraska Athletics:

Nebraska softball junior Jordy Bahl was named a D1 Softball Preseason First-Team All-American, the organization announced on Wednesday. This is Bahl’s fifth preseason honor – she was D1 Softball’s No. 2 Player and Pitcher to Watch and was dubbed Softball America’s No. 2 Player to Watch and a Softball America Preseason First-Team All-American.

The Papillion, Neb., native is the only Big Ten representative on the first team and one of six across both All-American teams.

Bahl enters her second season with the Huskers after suffering a season-ending injury in NU’s first game of the 2024 season. Prior to coming to Nebraska, the junior competed for Oklahoma, where she was a two-time NFCA First-Team All-American and two-time Big 12 Pitcher of the Year. She was also the 2022 National Freshman of the Year. Bahl owns a 1.06 career ERA, along with a .350 batting average.
Bahl and the rest of the Huskers will open their season at the NFCA Leadoff Classic from Feb. 6-9 in Clearwater, Fla.
