I'm a big fan of Mike Riley and most of his staff, and excited for the season but still think we are 2 yrs away. Still not enough playmakers on defense, thin at certain spots and brutal schedule next year.
To me, its looking like 2019 will be the year we win the West and are competitive in Big 10 Championship game.
Thinking that team's 2 deep might look something like this. Alot of playmakers. This team would also be very good in 2020.

Some observations while putting this together:
- We need OLBs badly. A little concerning since it doesnt appear we lead on any in 2018. Alex Davis and Guy Thomas need to develop quickly.
- We have too many tight-ends on the roster. If Jurgens comes in and starts quickly, might see some needed attrition at TE
- I think Deontre Thomas, McQuitty and Mazur are going to be studs. What other players might surprise?
- If Gebbia unseats O'Brien, will POB stay?
- Don't know what to think of Brokop or Christian Gaylord or Ben Stille
- Can Decker of Farniok become very good centers or will Raridon end up there?
- I think we sign Pappoe in 2019,
- I dont think we sign Addison/Hufanga or Griffith in 2018.
- What other WR/DBs do we sign in 2018 that could help in 2019?
- Can Goodrich or Chase Williams play safety?
- Does Lamar leave early?
