is Tom Brady the best. Qb to ever ply he's definitely not the best or even I'm too 5 of all best here is my all time best joe Montana troy aikmen Jim Kelley Dan Marino Peyton manning

No, I do not believe so by a long shot.
Many could fit the bill, and Brady has the shadow of cheating over him, the others do not.

Screw Tom Brady.

I take Unitas, or Bart Starr first, then Montana. Screw the cheating Brady.

I guess you can tell I do not like him.

Fran Tarkington, Bart Starr?.. Roger Staubach with a minute to go and a prevent defense= you are toast.

Joe Namath; now no matter what, how can he be higher than a tie. Joe was oft injured ; but he could carry a team.

No, not even close

I have no idea who your favorite team is, but I'm willing to bet anything that if Brady was the QB of it, and had accomplished the exact same things on your favorite team, your tune would be different. IMO, he's so clearly separated himself from everyone else I don't even see the debate anymore. The only debate I can come up with, is who's #2?

Yes and it's hardly debatable. He has the best combo of stats and titles of anyone. If the only arguments against him are he had a great coach and he deflated footballs, then the case is closed.

Matt Cassel had success at NE that he didn't match elsewhere.

Brady is the most decorated but I can't say greatest because his backups win games and play well when he doesn't play. But those backups aren't successful when they venture out on their own.

Actually, Cassels best season by qb rating came two seasons later in KC where he had a much better td to int ratio, try again. If the argument is he can't be the greatest because he played for a great coach then Montana is out as well.

Nah. I don't need to try again.

Cassel was 26-39 as a starter outside of his stint in NE. One season in KC doesn't make Cassel a success.

Then one season in NE doesn't prove anything either.

I don't think Brady is the greatest QB to ever live. Why do you want to argue with my opinion? I believe that QBs have had success in New England that they didn't have elsewhere.

I am not telling you that you are wrong. I said Brady is the most decorated QB ever. That makes him an elite top 5 QB. That doesn't make him the greatest.

So once again people argue against personal taste. Like arguing with me that Mushrooms are good because you like them. Mushrooms suck.

Why would I not? In what world is a message board a place where people just post their random opinions with each other without interacting? I was interested in why you didn't think he was the greatest, showed your reasoning was flawed with proof and wanted to see if there was any other evidence. Apparently there's not which is fine, you can believe whatever you want, it's obviously not personal, didn't mean to attack you, I enjoy debating. I don't even care about Tom Brady at all, in fact if anything I dislike him. Word of advice, if you don't like your opinions to be critiqued, don't post them on a message board.

It's my opinion. My reasoning isn't flawed. Matt Cassel, is a below average QB, in his one year as a starter in NE, won 11 games just like Brady did in many years.

You are splitting hairs. The argument on who is the greatest ever is subjective. Just because I don't think Brady is the greatest ever doesn't mean I think he sucks.

Bradshaw won a bunch of Super Bowls, And was a 1st ballot HOF but barely completed 50% of his passes and only had 28,000 yards passing in his career. yet he is in consideration as the GOAT by some.

Rings don't lie, this isn't a question or even an argument anymore. Brady is the greatest. No QB has been this dominant for this long, the guy is almost 40 and has no sign of aging. Tom made Bill and Bill made Tom. Neither would have the success they have had without the other.

Your team is ahead by 5 points and there are two minutes left on the clock for the opponent.
Who would you fear the most at the QB position?

I don't want to see Tom Brady back there.

Not a Patriot fan. I am an NFC guy. But I thought before the Superbowl that Tom Brady COULD have been right up there with the best. After that game, no doubt in my mind. He is the best....To date.

Any one of probably 5-10 QBs in league history.

Manning
Young
Montana
Rodgers
Aikman
Marino
Elway

In addition to Brady

So should every other player on those teams with him be considered the greatest at their position ? Or does your logic say only those that match his league honors that year are the greatest ? Or if he wasn't rated the best qb in a SB year; would the qb that was have arguments ?
A lot of great qb's listed and for some great reasons. GBR

Mitch Mustain is clearly the greatest of all time but yeah, Brady is pretty good.

New England does not win Superbowls without Brady. They are good without him but he makes them beyond great and I dislike New England.

boy does that ever sound like a homer, fan boy post. My favorite team has nothing to do with New England. I'm just smart enough to not let the media push their agenda on me about the guy.

And by the way, if Tom had been the qb for my favorite team he wouldn't even be IN THE DISCUSSION of greatest of all time, because he wouldn't be sniffing those rings.

Tom did more to get his rings than Terry "hand the ball off" Bradshaw - if you want a better example of a system and quality of team getting SB wins (vs. NE). That said - Brady's comeback win vs ATL was the shizzle - legend, GOAT, whatever you want to call it - it was greatness on the football field.
