Nebraska has been an embarrassment in some male sports in the Big Ten, especially in football. It is due to the coaches chosen and lack of development. Two areas we used to excel at. Iowa has been very good under Ferentz in developing players. Taking diamonds, unknowns and the few four stars and doing very well in development. Like Wisconsin.

The state of Iowa, honestly, has developed difference-makers at the major college level much better than the state of Nebraska this century. But if we get our s..t together, Nebraska will surpass the Hawkeyes and Badgers in football. Men’s basketball? Well since we have never won a NCAA tournament game and so few invitations, basketball has shiny newer things but nothing to brag about in accomplishments.

I started going to Husker games in 1969, so I've witnessed 5 Football National Championship seasons, and another 4 seasons when they lost the National Championship game. An Iowa fan could live to be 900 years old and never witness 1 National Title in football...so sad!
