They are giving OSU all they want. As scarletred stated we have lots of health issues to overcome or this will be a very very tough game.

All I've been saying about OSU is that they have yet to play a D this season with any type of pulse.. Bye the way, I took Indiana on the points lol

Game out of control now late in 4th. I didn't get to watch the whole game, kinda doing something else.

Silver lining? Indiana was still in the game midway through the 4th. Did Indiana really even have any big plays? Keep OhSU in front of you. They racked up 9 penalties and 2 turnovers.

Good call.
After watching this game today if we get Westerkamp, Moore and hopefully Carter back for OSU, our receiving corps is gonna make OSU's secondary look like fools and Armstrong is gonna have a heydey running the ball. Game goes into the 4th OSU loses period. People can chastise me all day long, but from what I have been watching today OSU's D will have zero success against our Offense as they have faced nothing all year like what we will be shoving down their throat. The D will show up for this game and I can see us picking off 3 maybe 4 of their passes. We have a habit this year either playing up or down to our opponents. Huskers will play their best game they've played all year at the Horseshoe and come out of Columbus with a win. No Homer and definitely not drinkin the Kool-aide either. OSU is very, very beatible!! I just hope Wisconsin doesn't beat them next week before we get to em.

Ohio State is super talented, JT Barrett is awesome and they're deep at basically every position. But they're young, on defense especially, and will make mistakes. If we take advantage of theirs and limit ours, we'll have a great shot. Their best is better than our best, I don't think that's controversial, but our best is good enough to beat them a lot of the time, so let's just play our best and let the chips fall where they may.

Was well under 50% today vs Indiana and they are not a defensive juggernaut. He ran it well but they are not the best team out there this year, maybe not even in the conference. Let's not give them the title just yet. Certainly Nebraska will be a dog going into the game but not a guarantee fellas.

You should head over to the thread claiming OSU is as good as '95 Nebraska, that seems to be more up your alley.

Not really. I visited the IU board earlier this week and predicted an OSU 24- Indiana 14 game. As I said there, it's still a young team with 44 freshman who have never played a down of college football, and were due for a let down and some mistakes. Also in games that the Buckeyes aren't playing particularly well in, but Meyer feels his team is more talented than the opponent, he tends to go conservative on the principle that his superior talent and depth will win out in the end.

For a young team like this a close game where the players need to go all 4 quarters does more good than another blowout. It stinks watching as a fan, but will be beneficial later.

As far as potentially losing to Wisconsin or Nebraska, absolutely. And if losing one (not both) of those games helps the Bucks beat Michigan later, assuming they win the other games, then I'm all for it.

I don't know how I feel about Indiana now. They played well and made a game of it, but at the same time OSU never seemed out of control and basically won comfortably with zero passing game.

Some of that was good D by IU but mostly just seemed like Barrett was missing open guys with no pressure and It felt like they could have ran nothing but zone read and qb draw and won by 3 scores.

I'd like to see the return of QB run game till we have est. run game and opened up passing lanes against Indiana.. is 3-4 their base d? If so zone read could work well.

GBR

I doubt we see much QB run game now that TA has aggravated that ankle again. They need to keep him as healthy as possible for the back half of the season.

That is what makes Nebraska's offense hard to stop. If the run game from Tommy Armstrong is absent the rest of the way expect a few loses.

Guys, this is an injured ankle, not a broken leg. With the technology available, he may not be hampered at all by the ankle by Saturday.

I get that. My point is you play your game. If he gets hurt he gets hurt. You can't be scared of what might happen. If the Tommy Armstrong run game is halted by our coaches, we will lose some games. That added factor is what makes our offense most dangerous.

I've been nervous about the Indy game all year. They've had a great offense for the past few years, and they seem to really be putting the other pieces in place. Hope our offense can establish the run and keep their's off the field.

He is hurt. It did happen.

It will likely be a nagging injury the rest of the way.

I think the smart thing to do is to try to keep him serviceable the rest of the year.

As with anything, other opinions may differ.

How do you know it's likely to be a nagging injury?

Our secondary versus Hoosiers passing game favors Huskers. Our mobile QB mixed with running and receiving threat favour us. If we manage turnovers we will be surprised by the score. I was not all that impressed with OSU given the athletes that they have. IU seemed better because of general perception of OSU greatness. Alabama looked much better than OSU yesterday to me.

Like I said during the summer, playing Indiana in Bloomigton is a much tougher game than we had last year playing @ Illinois and @ Purdue. This is a team that Riley can loss too especially with our injury situation..

This looks like Kevin Wison best team in his 6th year.
Hoping we finally start out fast and don't wait till the 4thQ beng a couple TD down will be tougher to over come on this Indiana team.

I don't. I said "It will likely be.." so that is an estimation. Let's hope not, but I believe it is the same one that gave him trouble before, so in a sense, it may already be.

I might have missed something yesterday about this, but they did say on the BIG network that TA was in boot and supposedly Riley said he would not have been able to play yesterday. So I'm a little worried.

Since NU will likely be a Top 10 team going into the game, Indiana and their crowd will be up, up, up for this game. If Nebraska wins the turnover battle and does not kill themselves with catastrophic penalties, they should win. Missing Westerkamp and Carter could really hamper NU - so I suspect NU will rely more on Armstrong's legs than they did last week. Hopefully he will be operating at full strength.

It's a great opportunity for NU - win and continue to climb in the rankings. Continue to climb in the rankings and the all important "relevance" returns.

I feel that NU just needs to pound the rock against Indiana. Keep them off the field and just trust that you have the better team. We know we are banged up. We know that our depth is lacking. But when you line them up we are the better team. Riley just has to keep them believing in themselves and stick to the game plan. If they do they'll pull away in the end. See Illinois. GBR

Looking at OSU stats from yesterday it looks like they were able to run the ball on Indiana. Barrett ran 26 times for 137 yards. So look for Armstrong to have some good runs. For whatever reason OSU threw for less than 100 yards which could mean with Nebraska's WR injuries, Nebraska will need to run the ball to win.

One of the Indiana radio guys said that the wind was blowing kind of wierd, like it was coming in from one direction, hitting the stands and bouncing back. He said when he was standing on the field it felt as if they were getting hit by air from two directions at once and even Indiana's kicker, who has a really strong leg and gets a touchback nearly every kick was having trouble getting the ball down the field. - Which he blamed for OSU's big kick return.
