Indiana’s new coach has recruiting figured out

Walters is in way, way over his head

Not a head coach. At least not yet

That’s interesting, because according to the article I posted, the 3 that left were surefire starters if they stayed. Do you not agree with Kyle Holderfield at the Purdue rivals website?

I would assume he would know better than you, but you claim Walters kept the 3 best.

Also, the portal works both ways. Why didn’t Walters bring in OL guys to replace the ones who left? Or did he, and they weren’t as good? Then that’s on Walters as well.
He did. Finau probably would have started, but left. Miller followed Brohm. Hostage didnt know Walters. Was gone regardless. Brohm pissed off a bunch of players when he held NIL over their heads. Walters brought in guys, but was late to the portal and didn’t have the NIL support needed yet. Finau is the only one that Walters had a chance to keep.

But yes, Hartwig, Mbow, and Moussa were all more important. Those 3 are NFL caliber players. Hostage probably as well, but left prior to walters. Then injuries killed this OL with no depth. Brohm sucked at recruiting OL

Not according to 247’s overall football rating. Louisville at 34, Purdue at 37, with Louisville having one more 4 star than Purdue.

Seeing what you want to see, I guess.
On3 has Louisville 49. I was also referencing his shit recruiting at Purdue.

I know you are kind of a dork but I still love you...BUT a good HS friend of mine went to Indiana and lives like 2 miles from the campus now...

He said on game day he can't even tell if it is a home game or not because of how lame the support is.

My brother lived in Fischers, IN for five or six years the time frame of Nebraska joining the B1G. The Nebraska game came with a stiff price but you also got a ticket for another home game off a selected list. Things have changed a lot all over college football since then but by golly Bro and I really got some good laughs out of that. He took advantage of their generosity. He also went to Coats and Pacers games, always had to have a game on the radio in the car. RIP 1952-2023. USAF 1970-1992. Miss you Bro, Merry Christmas.

At Purdue? They almost sold out every home game for a 4-8 team. Basketball has sold out like 5 straight seasons and has one of the best environments in college basketball. But ok.

It’s not Lincoln on game day, but it’s also not iu

Nope, at Indiana.

Ya, A&M is rumored to have offered him over a half a mil while he was home. Caught the coaches by surprise after they discussed NIL and he said he was staying. Didn’t see this coming. Luckily have 1 more really good pass rusher and some promising guys. Tampering is great for the sport.
imagine being a a head coach who's surprised by NIL offers elsewhere after your team just won 3 or 4 games

sure sounds like walters has a firm grip on the job!

you took what I said and completely changed it. He was not shocked he got NIL offers. Any team in the country would like to have scourton. He had tons of offers. Louisville was rumored 500k.

Walters talked to him, made him an offer, and convinced him to stay. He went home for break, A&M stopped by. Purdue isn’t competing with A&M. Most aren’t. But you can twist my words. Sure. You know little about Walters and can judge him on a few things. First loss that really hurts, but Walters is bringing in a good class and transfers.

Walters is not allowed to discuss money with players.

He’s not allowed to give exact dollar amounts. It is legal to discuss projected and what others in his spot have made.
that's even worse

he must've low-balled his best player

How’s that worse? That is what is legal. Purdue projected he would make about 250k.
if he couldn't discuss it, he could plead ignorance

now, he looks cheap in addition to in over his head

That dude is gonna teach his new team how fake injuries and properly take an injury dive on the field and be on the field for ungodly amouts of time. That dude is a jackwagon that deserves his shit pushed in at every turn!

was James Madison known for this?

hate? hardly even notice the guy. certainly never think about him.

do you disagree with my post?
Yup. I do. You are basing everything on that crap team Walters inherited, one portal loss, and some comments he made during game week. You should do some research before speaking on something you don’t know much about.

I get not wanting to hear it...but PU, Minny, Illimois, NW, those schools...they are farm teams now. Just like the MAC teams are farm teams for the schools listed above. It sucks but it is the case.

If you are a good player at PU, why stay? You know you can't win a title, you know you can't make the playoffs, You know if your coach gets good he is leaving.

So unless you just love the school and love the education, which PU is amazing at, why stay?

This is a job for them. Imagine in your career, where a different company came with with way more money and perks, if you can leave, you are leaving.

you'll never have a coach who achieves as much as Brohm.

we all have eyeballs.

walters's horseshit team got its ass brutalized in Lincoln this year. worst purdue team I've ever seen.

he played at Colorado. he sees the Scarlet 'N' every night in his nightmares. the video of him getting knocked silly in his final college football game by an NU backup is laugh out loud hilarious. the guy is as beta as they come.

relegation is coming for you.

enjoy another early ncaa tourney exit this year under that disgusting fat underachieving slob matt painter. that mutant center of yours needs to be careful he's not incarcerated for pursuing high school girls mid-season.

Merry Christmas
Gawd I love you .😂😂. Your chit is funny.

He’s in a system that’s going to get him drafted super high. I don’t disagree. It’s more that he said he was staying and left that makes it frustrating. I get it. Probably make 500k over 250k.

Yeah, there's plenty of our own fans with the same sort of perspective. Is the state of college football in a good spot with NIL and the transfer portal? Idk, probably not.

But that's the reality anymore. The name of the game in cfb right now is money and you better be willing to pay your star players their market value if you want to keep them.

That's got to be so demoralizing for a coach. It reminds me of our situation with Walter Rouse last year. The NCAA has to figure this NIL stuff out before it changes the game forever.

wants to join a 'winning culture' so he's visiting his former coach & FSU

Has nothing to do with winning culture and everything to do with money. 750,000 dollars per rumors. But if he wants to go to Louisville and beat no one in a system that doesn’t feature him for a coach that doesn’t care about defense. Go for it. Walters will find someone else.

Then again, you are speaking about a team you know nothing about.

Ya. I figured he’d be gone, but not after committing to come back.
