@red rover 70 Will have the last laugh if we did blow them out though. That is the big plus if you call for a beatdown. Open to big time ridicule though before and potentially after the game. At least he took a stand!

BYU- Healthy QB beats Iowa convincingly.
Miami- Talented headcase of a team out athletes the Hawkeyes.
Michigan State- Iowa's gonna get smoked by Sparty.
Simply put Iowa's schedule hasn't prepared them for the Huskers.
The only way it doesn't happen is if we play like we did against Northwestern and half ass it again.
If that happens then I'm going to be red mad hot.

I can see that happening, if Tommys money and hitting the WRs and Cross and Jano are gaining good yards keeping us very balanced, Iowas wanna be defense will have 40 hung on them (sorry MSU has a better defense then Iowa and look what happened, 39 points). The way are defense is against the run and now that are current DBs are comming to life, i think Iowa barely gets 21 points on us, UNLESS there QB scrambles for 200 yards being the deal breaker.

Again, like it or not, we have more talent then Iowa does, just no buts about it. As long as everyone shows up like MSU and Rutgers game, we will pimp slam these guy's.
Is that the same BYU team that got smoked by Michigan 31-0? The same Sparty that beat Purdue by a field goal, and Purdue beats Nebraska by 10, Hawks beat them by 20. Sparty's win over OSU just proved that OSU was not as good as they were touted. Hell, they had not played a ranked team till MSU. I truly hope the Cornhusker players feel the same. How bout a Northwestern team that you lost by two, and Iowa beat by 30, on the road with a QB who really couldn't do much more then hand the ball off. Yup, if your players show up friday with the same attitude, I can guarantee a comfortable Hawkeye victory. But, if it makes you feel more confident, more power to you. I could see the possibility of a Nebby win, but I have serious doubts it would be a cakewalk. I would wager to say, BYU is not as good as Pitt, who has lost 3 games, all to ranked teams.

Its very simple, i know going to school in Iowa probably doesn't help any, you watch the Huskers play from there first game and go all the way threw till this week, you will see first hand a team that looked lost, injuryed and not jelling to what they are now, a very good offense that can hang 40 on MSU and 40 plus on 4 and 5 star loaded USC defense and now that we have everyone healthy and jelling on defense, there looking like the true Blackshirts again.
I admit, if we played Iowa early in the year, you guys beat us by 10 at least but you guys got us now, after we are fully healthy, found a power running game to add with good passing and you guys will be man handled by are 2 headed monsters at DT and see why these 2 are future 1st rounders. Remember the names, you'll hear them a lot Friday, Collins and Valentine.

You obviously must not watch college football. It's the same BYU team that had a pre-season Heisman contender that was hurt in the 2nd half of that game as well as a team that ran the gauntlet of Power 5 teams before they got to Michigan. Welcome to college football. Your transitive properties don't belong here. Who beat who and when and where has no bearing on the reality that Nebraska is going to stomp Iowa's ass on Friday.
Iowa will not win by 20, mark it down. It will be a four quarter game that either team can win.
I knew that Iowa's schedule was not great this year, but did not realize their opponents are 22 games below .500 for the year.
A number of posters say things about schedule. In reality they are about the same for both schools except that iowa has beaten 4 teams that beat Nebraska. Nebraska has beaten 0 teams that have beaten Iowa. So what comprises the Iowa schedule is in fact a substantial portion of the Neb schedule as well. Yes Neb lost some fluke games. Neb also got a gift of all gifts to beat Mich St.

And your correct, comparative scores don't mean squat, cuz if if did, you people would get pounded. Nebraska was dealing with some pretty serious identity issues. After the Purdue game it seems the team finally resolved this problem.

On Friday the records won't matter. It will be Nebraska vs Iowa. A team we historically and recently have taken care of business against.
