Illinois (Fatboy) vs South Carolina (The SEC)

The only reason he got a win against us this year is because we couldn't figure out how to kick a field goal until roughly the 7th game of the season.
Refresh your memory, there were obvious calls that weren’t called, the main one was the Illini head butting our running back ( don’t remember who) out of bounds right next to the official that seen it perfectly in overtime which would have given us automatic first down..

Yes there were several bad calls that day

That dude has some paper thin skin.

"What we did was legal"

Correct. You know what else is legal? Making a substitution sign with your arms.

If "legal" is the standard of what should be done, and what is OK to do, then why did you lose your shit like an ape on bad meth when someone was on the field legally?

I'm starting to warm up to Bielema.

Honest question...what was the controversy here? What were the accusations?
A South Carolina kick-off return man faked a signal that he would let the ball go into the end zone by putting his arms out. When the Illinois players let up, the return man took the ball and threw it to another player, who then ran with it. Bielema thought that was poor sportsmanship, so when he was on the field looking after an injured Illinois player, he made the same gesture to the South Carolina bench. Beamer then went ballistic.

I think what Bert did was weird, but Beamer is throwing way too much of a fit over it.

Beamer keeps saying it's over and he's moved on, but it sure doesn't seem that way.

Too many people can't separate their personal dislike of a coach from their coaching ability. There was a long thread on this board recently on Mack Brown and there was a fair amount of sentiment expressed that he was overrated. Fact is, he was 8-1 against NU during his B12 Texas tenure, and that was when we didn't suck. Tough to convince me he couldn't coach with that record. BB has a 5-1 career record against NU, including 2 wins in 2012 against a 10 win Husker team.

Facts! I can absolutely hate Bret (I really don't) and still give him credit for being a damn good coach. Some of our fans get so lost in their hate that they don't even think rationally. Damndest thing lol.

I don't remember hating him other than because he would beat us the way we used to beat teams with power football. If he was our coach and having the same success, we'd all worship him.
But he isn’t, take a hike..

I was at the game in Lincoln, he pulled that shit every time we made a big play..

Bert is notorious for pulling as much as he can get away with. He’s rotten.
