I'll predict the score if no one else will

Big Red needs this game more than Ucla

30-17 'skers
Lol, when was the last time we scored 30? I think it was against an FCS opponent. We won't score even close to 30, but still might win...ugly game...17-9 maybe. if the game is closer than that I think we probably figure out how to lose, considering there is a lot riding on this game. Teams historically perform poorly after traveling across the country so I assume we win but it won't be because of team growth or figuring things out. It will be fun to watch a bowl as a 6 or 7 win team and get some bowl practices. Those are a big deal for kids who are going to stay with the program.

I think Nebraska wins. I don't know the score, but I will predict the Nebraska discovers yet another new and unusual way to screw-up on special teams. I'm thinking on punt return this time, because hopefully UCLA will be punting a lot.

If the field goal unit shows up two week in a row I’ll take Huskers by 6. UCLA’s offense has been somewhat of a chameleon, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they take a page out of Indiana’s playbook and try to RPO our defense to death.

Call it 19-13 Huskers

Hard game to predict since to be honest I know almost nothing about UCLA except that the buzz about them is that they aren’t very good.
But guess what? Despite our 5-3 record we aren’t that good either. Even our defense is an up and down unit. Which one shows up? The defense that we saw against CU and OSU or the defense we saw against Indiana and Illinois?
But the NU lover in me can’t bring myself to believe we lose this. We NEED this win.

Dang @NikkiSixx, imagine getting cancelled as a Husker fan in 2024 for not being a sunshine pumper for a team that hasn’t made a bowl in 7+ years. The audacity of you to ever pick against them. Though scene.
Who is cancelling anyone? Because others have different opinions? Maybe it's because he only shows up when they lose. He was pretty quiet when they were 5-1. The only one that should cancel him is his wife.

We will win because we have to win., it's probably our best chance out of the remaining 4 games. With the weather (possible rain/breezy) I don't think this will be much fun to watch. Neither team has been able to run for much this season and unfortunately a running game is what you need with conditions like this. It will probably be a 24-21, 21-17 type score. It could be a field position/punters game, I just hope we're not behind late in the 4th, I don't like our odds if that's the case.

Huskers 27
UCLA 20

Though I'm perfectly fine with winning a 1 pt game in the ugliest possible way possible. Just get the monkey off the back with win #6 and get those few weeks of extra practices.

Of the 5 teams we've beaten, and including CU's gaudy record of 6-2, the opponents are a collective 14-25, without the CU win it drops to 8-23.....

The three teams NU has lost to are collectively 20-3. So, the good/really good teams beat us although I think CU is close to being in that category.

Mostly, NU just beats bad, bad teams, and UCLA happens to be one of them.
However, I take nothing for granted with this team.

Solid analysis as always. You are correct the Huskers will never score 30 again, it’s literally impossible. 🙄
