I'll just leave this here for the Chiefs fans

OK. This was his opinion.

“The spot on the fourth down was close,” Blandino recently told TMZ.com. “When I watched it live, I thought it was a first down. I really did. I thought he made the big line. It was close. You know, when you watch the two officials, one official was coming in from the top. Looked like that official had the spot at the line to gain. The other official had it just short. When you have those situations, really, who does the ball open up to? Does one official defer to the other? Thought they both had fairly decent looks at it. They went with the spot that was short. And once you get it that close it’s gonna be tough to overturn.”

So it was super close and he thought Allen made it, the ruling on the field was short, which stood. What exactly is the "truth" you think Chiefs fans won't accept? That some people disagreed with a super close spot on that play?

There were still 12 minutes left and the Bills led. They lost because they failed to convert at the end of the game like they always do. If the roles were reversed, the Chiefs would have marched down the field to win that game, like they always do.

No reasonable person could dispute it.... if it had been called a first down. It was close and if I were a Bills fan I'd have wanted it to...
I'm not saying the Bills would have won. They had their chances after that blown call. All im saying is every Chiefs game their is a big missed call. The only issue is it always goes in the Chiefs favor. The entire country sees it. It's not a good look for the refs and the NFL. Needs cleaned up. Maybe they will start calling the games 50-50 after the Chiefs get their 3 peat. And Pfizer boy and Tay Tay go away way.

There is no way that falls under the category of a "blown call". Blandino is saying it was super close and he thought he made it live. It is a 50/50 call you wanted to go the other way, because of who you were rooting for, not a blown call.

It was one play, it didn't take any points off the board, it wasn't the last time the Bills touched the ball, they still had what...40 yards to go for a TD?? who knows how McDermott would have out smarted himself in that span...Josh had been tossing near picks all game...everyone is just assuming Bills score a TD there. Who knows how it would have played out after that....and again, it was one play, the rest of the game was called pretty great, and they missed calls that could have gone against the bills as well, several. Just sounds like white noise at this point..fans take one play that could have gone either way and jump off the deep end.

you would post about it endlessly if the exact same play took place against NU.

And if the same call went against Nebraska, you would be cool with it because you hate the coach, players, fans. But in this case you have an issue because you hate the Cheifs. Hate, hate, hate.

BTW, your little obsession with me on here is getting weird.

this is incorrect and seemingly your only retort to your blatant hypocrisy.

I love seeing you post out of both sides of your mouth about the exact same topic (biased/terrible officiating) here.

it is laugh out loud funny and as obvious as KC benefitting from friendly calls.

At this point, you are just trolling. The irony in your post can't be lost on you.

you talking about irony while defending the refs is peak internet

so funny

again, your blatant hypocrisy is as obvious as KC benefitting from friendly flags every postseason. literally everybody sees it.

Not defending anything, just choosing to live in reality. Crying about a 50/50 spot near midfield, with 12 minutes left in a game because you just hate one of the teams so much is peak Kong. Keep up the obsession and the hate (I know you will).

when it's the Huskers:
Yet we still have posters acting like this is fine or that we somehow deserve to have to overcome shit like this. Maddening.
exact same concept, completely different outlook.

not only are you stupid, you're stupid and dishonest, which is infinitely worse than the former.

it's amazing how you always find a way to feel so victimized by everyone. can i ask what religion you practice?

you are going above and beyond to defend the NFL's "fair" officiating of KC's playoff games.

I suggest you just own it like the rest of your scumbag peers seem to have done.

I sure as hell would love it for the NFL to gift my team calls in crucial spots during the biggest games year after year.

Agreed. I’m not a Chiefs fan and was rooting for the Bills but it gets old seeing other fans whine about them. Bills had plenty of chances to beat them (every play, really) and didn’t. People hate a dynasty unless it’s their team.

I'm not defending anything. I am pushing back against the notion that KC is winning because of a call like this. If that 50/50 call goes the other way, there would be no outrage, because KC would still win. Let's be real this spot is about as 50/50 as it gets, it's not like the spot in the OSU game that was 2 yards off.

Josh Allen and Buffalo had the game in their hands, all they had to do was march down the field and score and they couldn't do it. You assume everything turns out differently with a first down there, but I don't because I've seen this movie before. Allen and Buffalo fail to convert (just like last year, and three of the past four years against KC).

We have eyes. We saw that he had the first down by about a foot. But yet another move by an NFL official to put their thumb on the scales.

Put a chip in the ball, and have technology determine maximum forward progress.

you would need several chips for that to work effectively...one in each nose, and one in the center...not a terrible idea though, if it could be made to work accurately.

no, I don't. I've never said "Buff would've won if".

simply pointing out yet another beneficial call for KC that would have you in an absolute tizzy if it went against NU.

and I know that if I asked this simple Y/N question: "have KC benefitted from post-season officiating over the past 6 years?" your answer would be a resounding 'NO!'

I appreciate your dedication to unabashed blind homerism. it's inspiring

LULZ on the conspiracy. But I'm all for the chip in the ball, I've said that for years. I also think it would be great to have the yellow line we see on TV on the field for the players to see, surely they have the technology.

But we can keep changing the rules every time Allen and the Bills lose, and it isn't going to keep them from losing. Because that is not why they keep losing.

fair enough

Allen and the Bills haven't said anything about it and handled it like professionals

nothing like this, which I'm sure you vehemently agreed with at the time

i think they changed after mahomes beat josh alen/bills

They changed the rules after the 13-second game (which is fine). Because that's why the Bills lost; not because they kicked it into the endzone and couldn't cover for 13 seconds. Now maybe they will change the rules again (which is fine). Because that's why the bills lost, not because the couldn't score with the game on the line.

It seems like the Bills, and especially Josh Allen, get a pass like no one else. If a guy like Brock Purdy played like Allen down the stretch people would be all over him. If a coach like Mike McDaniel got outcoached the way McDermott did, people would be calling for his head. But with the Bills we should change the rules. I don't really care, just think it's interesting.

The problem with that argument is it can go both ways. Take a big play away from the Chiefs, now speculate what happens. On this play, Allen could have thrown a bomb for a TD on the next play. The old, it’s just one play is not valid. Anyone can play this game of what if.

Blandino actually provided a reasonable response. His opinion was that Allen made the line to gain. No problem. He didn’t exaggerate and claim Allen “Clearly” made it. He didn’t suggest that the officials conspired to favor the Chiefs. He didn’t suggest that the NFL is placating Taylor Swift fans. He said he thought Allen made it. He said it was close - he wondered, like all of us, why the officials decided to go with one spot over the other. He also suggested that once a call was made, it was going to be difficult to overturn.

More people should take that approach, but the that’s boring. You generate more clicks if you float conspiracy theories that trigger simple minds.
