If TCU is Rhule's Blueprint

You guys notice how fast TCU was in punt coverage? Michigan just never had many chances for good returns.

I'm used to watching Nebraska punt the ball, and then half the time the returner has time for a quick smoke break, maybe take a selfie or two, and then start running down the field.

If we are going to play that 3-3-5 we better get some linebackers and guys who can tackle. Also, no more 2 hand touch in the spring.

Rhule is pretty extreme the other way, with physical practice, Oklahoma drills, scrimmages during the week, and the like. We are probably going to have to learn to accept some practice and pre-season injuries.

TCU has SEC size up front

something his baylor teams lacked

Baylor was pretty big up front. 2019 Baylor went 265 335 295 on the DL.

And DE Husker Lynch (another guy Nebraska chose not to recruit) was the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and 1st Team All-American.

I think it is a myth that more physical practices lead to more injuries. It seems logical, but is it actually true? What is the evidence? In my opinion, we have more injuries than anybody else because we have people going at different speeds. It is the guy going 75% who injures the guy going 40%. When everybody goes at 100%, injuries are less likely. Also, this may be controversial, but some guys are just injury prone and it is better to find out early so you aren't counting on them.

There is a guy named Husker and we didn’t recruit him?

I mean wtf

James “Husker” Lynch. Nick named Husker because he was a die hard fan. Camped here, wanted and offer bad. Riley passed on him, so of course he ends up a star.

In 2019 Husker Lynch was Big 12 DPOY and Burrow won the Heisman. Oh and Max Duggan was a Senior in HS, not being recruited by Frost. Fun times.

Couldn't risk someone coming in to compete with AM.
