I've got the baseball game on at work. The umps just reviewed a play with REPLAY and still made a terrible call. Took UCLA from down 1-2 to up 5-2. Anyone catch it? I'll post the video when I can find it.
UCLA was at bat. Force out at second. Slow ground ball to the shortstop, who didn't hustle and the runner clearly beat the toss to second and was called safe, BUT he rounded the bag, clearly ran into the 2nd baseman's glove which was holding the ball, and was 6 feet off the base. They reviewed it and the runner was called safe?!? Illinois coach went ballistic and rightfully so.
I don't have sound on so not sure if I missed something, but that was a BAD call.
