The Nebraska volleyball team will participate in the Broadway Block Party, hosted by the Nashville Sports Council and ESPN Events, this upcoming season at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The event will feature three matches between Big Ten and SEC teams.
The Huskers will take on Kentucky at 11 a.m. (CT) on Sunday, Aug. 31 on ABC. Purdue and Tennessee will play 30 minutes following the conclusion of that match on ESPN2. And Illinois and Vanderbilt will square off to end the tripleheader on SEC Network.
A special access pre-sale for participating institutions will take place March 7-12, and a general public on-sale will follow on March 13 at NashvilleSports.com/Broadway-Block-Party.
The non-conference matchup against Kentucky will be the fourth straight year the teams have met early in the season. In 2024, Nebraska beat Kentucky 3-1 at the AVCA First Serve Showcase in Louisville, Ky.
The Broadway Block Party is the second marquee non-conference event announced in the last week. The Huskers are set to host the AVCA First Serve Showcase at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Aug. 22-24. NU will face Pittsburgh and Stanford in that event, giving the Big Red three matches in the first 10 days of the season against teams who finished in the top eight of the 2024 AVCA Coaches Poll.
