Huskers vs. OSU

I was not aware of that.

Seems crazy in college to have a small forward (out of high school) playing point guard at 6'8", but if he is a great ball handler, athletic enough, good facilitator etc, it would be like LeBron taking the ball up the court.

I just looked up tall point guards...not as uncommon as I thought: Shaun Livingston 6'7", Penny Hardaway 6'7", and Magic Johnson 6'8".
Jaron Boone was pretty tall when he played PG for the Huskers. I believe he was 6'6.

I was only able to see the last few seconds of the game, but I'm glad they let Watson take the last shot. I love Tai, but he seems to have struggled some with the ball in his hands at the end of a few games lately.

Ya, it's obvious Tai is worn down. Heck, he didn't even guard PSU's best player in the 1H the other night, Glynn did for the most part. Takes a lot out of someone when you're asked to be the leading scorer and defend the opponents best perimeter guy night in and night out.

Miles has said multiple times in the last 15 months that Glynn has to be more selfish. Last night, it happened, so to speak...

Freshman year I believe it was Jamar Johnson and Andre Woolridge that played the point....

Not until JJ used up his eligibility and Andre transferred to Iowa is when Jaron played some point but he wasn't a true point guard for Nee and I can't remember who else except for Eric Strickland played Guard back in those years.

Wasn't it the guy that was bangin' Nee's wife?

Really hate to use my 24,000 post on this...

But you may be right, his name was Jose Romas ( forgive me if I spelled incorrectly)

Thing is I think he came up the bench and I don't think he was the starting point guard..

Anyone else in the know during that time?

Ramos is the guy who was rumored to be, shall we say, a penetrating point guard. He played one year at Florida and then as a JUCO, then was a backup guard on that 90-91 Nebraska team that went 26-8 and lost to Xavier in the first round of the tournament. He played some, but was wasn't a big contributor to that team's success. Got sent home from the Big 8 Tournament after an argument with Nee, and wasn't heard from again.
