Lateef's HS team is 8-3 and ranked 16th nationally. He's having a good senior year and is ready to compete for the QB job when he gets here.

"Of Raiola, Lateef said, 'I respect Dylan. He’s a great football player. But my time is going to come. I’ll go in and compete and let the rest play out. One thing about me, I’m not going to duck competition. He’s a great football player. But I am, too.'”

I love it! Really need to get this kid on campus and hope he is as advertised. Love DR and DK but imperative that we get a legit baller at the QB position. I THOUGHT DR was that but I'm not sure now. He has a lot to improve on and I'm sure he will. That said the better QBs you bring in the better. If a guy leaves he leaves. Let the games begin ...

People talk about him leaving, but I don’t see it. What would be his rationale, that he was misused? His tape clearly shows that he’s got issues that he needs to work on. He’s not exactly balling out, trying to save his team

Perhaps he's looking for a coaching staff that will help him correct those issues.

Yes his rationale could be exactly that he was misused. Whether it's true or not is irrelevant. One only needs to believe it. We as fans (most of us anyways) all feel like Satterfield was ass. Who's to say the Raiola's don't feel like Dylan was set up to fail playing under the tutelage of Satterfield? That's clearly a plausible scenario imo.

Again I'm not saying it'll happen. I haven't heard anything nor do I know anything. But imo that's a very realistic way that situation can be viewed if one wanted to leave for greener pastures.

Fwiw I agree with you that DR has a lot to work on. HE has to improve a ton as well. Which is why I also say we need TJ to get here and hopefully be as good as advertised. Because as a fan I'm still not sure what we have in DH. No clue about DK either so he's I want a great QB and it's not a given that we have one.

That is what I want to hear. Competitive attitude and no backing down to competition.

If Raiola wants to be a future first round draft pick the last thing he should be afraid of is losing the QB battle in college. His attitude should be "No way bro. I'm the QB here." and put up numbers that leave no doubt. Holgerson is going to be great for these guys and their development.
We should upgrade the WR coach with someone that can help develop the receivers more.

Playing well against stout competition here in SoCal.
Next up is this weekends game vs St John Bosco, and if he happens to win then gets Mater Dei
Those two programs are the best nationally in HS football, without question.

I own some swamp land in Arizona. I will sell you...
Already seeing some churn in the roster, don’t know why it would be different at QB. If Lateef comes in and is significantly better, I believe he plays. If they are comparable, then I agree, Raiola will get the nod.
