Huskers looking good, knock on wood, against BC tonight.

Not if the refs have anything to say about it. We have to be the only team that gets worse officiating at home.

Whoever that white moron ref is, he should never be allowed in the PBA again. Numerous horrid calls to directly steal points from Nebraska. Bald idiot isn't much better though.

Game almost turned up 49-42 with a horrendous charge call on what should have been an and 1. Hot shooting in the first half. Tough second half on offense. Anton Gills play is a welcome sight...didn’t expect to get much out of him this year. Hopefully we can get another W out of the next four.

0-4 over the next 4

Probably... But if they do better their rpi will be in tournament territory.

2-2 and they can just simply not suck the rest of the year to get in.

Likely? Nope. 1-3 seems likeliest to me. Truth is it only takes that to keep them in contention for an ncaa bid.

Seems to me people are projecting our football woes onto basketball. We aren't duke but we have some players. Nit seems like our floor this year... Which means our ceiling is higher.

Scott Frost

yeah that about covers it. The armchair nebraska quarterbacks that think they know basketball. Throw out scott frost and weird things happen to their psyche.

Hell, I know we are picked 13th in the b1g. Makes sense when you look at how bad we were and what we lost.

...until you look a little deeper. Middle of the conference is probably a bit better prediction. And if we get hot who knows.

Odds wise it is a virtual coin flip between 1-3 and 0-4 the next four games. Hot or cold shooting makes things happen. That's why march madness is... Madness.

We shoot 50% from three and hit the boards things get interesting. We shot about 48% last night. It can happen.

Just saying...

Thought the Huskers looked pretty good last night once they started blocking out. In the first half BC was eating them alive on the offensive glass, but NU seemed to clean that up later in the game. BC is not a very good team, but this is still a pretty solid win given the Big Ten's performance against the ACC this week.

BC didn't play D like St John's. Not even close so it made it a little easier to get clean looks. Gill has been a pleasant surprise. Now maybe we're seeing what guys were talking about out of him when they watched practice before the knee injury. It would be a HUGE help to have another guy out there that can knock down an outside shot. With Gill, Palmer, Copeland, and Glynn all a threat that should hopefully open up some things in the paint.

What is this half-time adjustment thingy?

NIT is our floor? That would mean we are guaranteed to go over .500 which we still aren't projected to do. That can change obviously but right now we are only projected to be favored in 7-8 or our 23 remaining games. And three of those games will be against teams that will likely finish +250 in the RPI.

That team that played last night will do better than that.

You can believe what you want. Those projections usually dont have copeland or palmer in them who didnt play last year among other things.

/shrugs ... Just being not dominated by underclassmen is worth a few games.

It's always amusing to see someone deride everyone else's basketball knowledge, then make the keen observation that a key to winning is to shoot 50% from the three-point line.

Gee, ya think? Only 7 teams in the country are shooting 45%+ from three. But just shoot 50%, and you'll win games. It's that simple.

... Love how you drew that conclusion from nowhere. I was speaking to winning one game out of four. They call it madness for a reason.

Simple laws of averages says we should have ONE game like that. I deride people who refuse to be anything but negative on principle... The rest is just trying to point out how ridiculous the negativity is.
