We can if our DL and LBs are getting to the QB. If we can’t pressure Sanders they’ll get open and burn us. I’m optimistic about our ability to get to Sanders, cautiously optimistic…
It is really that simple. Get consistent pressure on Sanders and we win. Give him time to throw and we lose.

I am not sure if Michigan just played lame on Saturday but I think they are back to their old super lame offense.

For this game, I am going to take CU and the points. I still think Sanders throws the ball 40+ times, that will be 30+ completions and over 300 yards. I just don't see this game ending up in some sort of easy Husker win.

Well of course, which means controlling the clock forcing Colorado stop the running game which I think they will have difficulty in doing, ND St also was successfull we threw the air 18-22 for 277..Colorado didn’t handle the crowd noise in Eugene last year and it’s going to a ruckus crowd Saturday night..
Of course we have to score. But the strength of this CU team is not their defense. I am confident we can score on them. The question is can we score enough? Which means can we slow down the ONLY thing CU has going for them -- a great QB and some great receivers? The key to the entire game really is getting pressure on Sanders. If we give him a clean pocket to pass from on most plays then we will lose since he will pick us apart. We need a really loud crowd and we need to put him on his back over and over. We need to make him damn uncomfortable. Because if we don't we will lose.
Put this way, if I’m asking you (anyone) what are you more concerned about… Sanders, Hunter and Horne going off for 40 or their defense holding us to less than 10 points? The latter is preposterous, we can probably score 24-30 on CU without even passing the ball. (If we don’t turn over the ball 😳)
If we can’t score on CU we’ll get beat by 2-3 TDs and it will be a very long season in the B1G.
The crowd needs be crazy the whole fn game. If you go better get all fans around you off the seats.
It is not so much that NU won't score it really has more to do with when CU scores.
If they get the ball first and score a TD and NU DOESN'T score on their drive, you are in such a bad spot. Getting down 14-0 changes the NU game plan even if they don't mean to change it, but it will change the way plays are called.
Correct, Stop theor 1st drive. Score. Stop theor 2nd drive. At that point you have the ball with a chance to crush their spirit in the 1st quarter.
Kind of works both ways with the other scenario, don’t you think? NU gets off to 14 point lead and the defense will be playing with their hair on fire…
Yep. I'm fairly positive the coaches will repeatedly drive home that we are NOT to retaliate against the BUFF's probable BS. Let THEM draw the flags.
If we keep penalties & turnovers low I like our chances. I'll take a 1 point win although my heart won't be happy.
IMO Nebraska either wins this going away or loses. I don't see this as a close Nebraska win, but if it ends up being close its a mistake riddled game that Colorado wins.

As do I. I don't see Colorado stopping Nebraska very well, and I don't see them keeping up on the road.
I've been wrong a lot on Nebraska over the last 6-7 years though.
When teams show up to "fight" them, they fold. CSU showed up to fight them last year. Despite being at a huge talent disadvantage, they came close. Oregon showed up to "fight" them and look what happened. If a good, disciplined, big, physical team shows up to physically beat them up all day, they will fold up.
Agreed. No finesse, just show up and physically beat them up. They also seem to play in cliques or as individuals. Saw some arguments the past game and if things snowball I bet they turn on each other. That team is just to get 3-5 players in the pros and that is it.
Everything I know about football (eyeball and on paper) says NU win by 10-21 pts. Everything I’ve seen the last 10 years tells me not to get too far away from the shitter.

This game will tell us alot about Satt. Will he game plan the offense around keeping the buffs offense off the field. Or if the Buffs score does he panic and try and go shot for shot with there offense. I have seen to many times stubborn OC's get away from what is working. I personally hope we see a lot of DD early and often to set up DR in the passing game.
Unless some really big money comes in I don't think it will slip under 7.
I love this. Tony White has seen enough of their tape now. He will make them earn every single yard, and they simply are not built for that.
It will be interesting to see who he thinks is the right running back to go against their defense. I think I start EJ and then sub Dowdwell.
I don’t think he’s going to ask Dylan to play hero ball and take more deep shots than are called for. This kid is uncanny for his age. I think he will just carve them up with intermediate, high percentage passes.
It may move. Supposedly public money favors Nebraska, but a lot of the sharks favor CU and may drive it the other way. Most feel NU should be favored by 3 and add 2.5 for home field. It will be interesting to see what happens.
That is what Frost and company would do, is panic and they had to score immediately is some way.
