Husker Power Chant is Banned?

Love how the Berkley students couldn't handle a homosexual being a conservative and having a mind of his own.
Yes, liberals are so kind and "tolerant".

Yeah I'm pretty sure no one cares that Milo is gay. There's a whole host of other, actual reasons.

Edit: Just realized that you're immediately going to just attack me for supporting Berkeley protests. I don't. Those students are idiots. But Milo has a whole host of issues.

What the hell is wrong with this country turning into with all these idiotic protests?

We are losing our balls in this country and turning soft.

Preach! My 2 youngest boys(14/12), when I told them this while they were doing a workout at D1 while the Husker/MSU game was on in the background:

12 year old - "What the .....(mumbling)"
14 year old - "pussies, why would they do that?" My 14 year old has said more than once he is embarrassed by what America is becoming....Proud dad here!

Crowd can just keep doing the chant without the cheerleaders. That way the administration can wash their hands of it, Jean Peck is thwarted, and on we go. Power to the people.

No, see- in this narrative, speaking out and standing up for what you believe in shows lack of balls.
Yeah lets pretend that rioting, burning, looting, breaking windows, etc is JUST like the protests that have taken place throughout our nations history, lets especially keep in mind that all our past instances of protest were because someone was going to give an hour speech in an opinion we disagree with....someone who has no effect or control over anything regarding anyones life...yes, yes you are right to equalize the revolution, civil rights movement, heck even the vietnam movement, with this...the fact that a bunch of panzies cant live with the fact that someone thinks differently than they do. Oh and these are supposedly the tolerant ones, right?
I remember when i was at the university, a speaker came who i disagreed with. Know what i did? Didnt go. Thats it.

I don't recall equating the riots in Berkeley with the revolution or civil rights movement, or saying that I thought the riots were ok. Let me look through the thread real quick... nope, doesn't look like anyone's saying that.

Disruptive, but ultimately peaceful, protest? I'm all about that, and the people out doing it aren't "pansies."

It makes sense to me not to have the cheerleaders lead a chant during player intros in the name of good sportsmanship. Since they are agents of the university, they should be held to the strictest standards of decorum.

That said, it's a fan's job to make a real home field advantage. I see no problem with a fan led cheer during that time. Chanting "Husker Power" over their names just lets them know who's boss around here!

The violent protestors apparently weren't even students, but outside agitators. Unclear whether they were actually opposed to Milo speaking or were coordinated with him to create maximum publicity value.

Evidence? Campus police said immediately after that they didn't think they were students.
