Big opportunity today. Not expecting a win, but if NU could pull it off a 2-0 start with both on the road would be huge.

Can we shoot close to the game in Bloomington will be interesting to see if it was a fluke shooting night or were improving.

Probably not, but there was more to like about the IU win than just the three-point shooting. Huskers also got the ball into the paint more and moved well without the ball.

So far the offense is struggling but the defensive effort has been very good.

OMG two jumpers in a row by Jacobson! This could be the Huskers' day!

Horne looking great on both ends - give him big minutes, please.

Where was this team in the nonconference?

Very impressive shooting after starting 0 for 5.

True but I'm really more impressed with the defensive effort today. Roby, Horne and Morrow all playing great D. They've even overcome some crappy homer officiating.

as soon as i turn it on, neb can't score. i didn't watch the indy game.

I hate watching basketball. Talk about the most streaky officiating ever in every game. Its like the first 5 minutes the calls go one way, then it switches every 5 minutes or so.

Ted Valentine should just give his whistle and striped shirt to Turgeon, and eliminate the middle man.

Up 4 at half. Thought Maryland was a good matchup for us. But then again, I thought Indiana was a terrible matchup. Pulling out another road victory would be huge...leading into two games we should be favored at home.

If this is the team we will continue to see them I like our chances in the conference. Wow. Saw the same on Wednesday when The Hoosiers made a run we didn't fold and pushed back. Love it!

So how good is Maryland this year?

I see they are 13-1 and they beat Georgetown and Kansas State.

I am very impressed so far with Nebraska in the first half from how the season started.

Hopefully Miles has figured it out.

GBR!

Making shots makes matchups better and coaches better. Everytime.

So do you like what Mile's is doing now? Clearly sitting Jack and limiting Jacobsen's attempts has helped.
Sitting McVeigh has given other guys opportunities, and they've capitalized on them. Having Horne and Roby on the floor seems to have opened things up for Watson. he's not just knocking in bombs, but also finding some nice mid-range jumpers.
Jacobson's minutes are only really down today because he got whistled for a BS ticky-tack foul right out of the gate. But he's played fine when he's been in there.

line was only 7.5, so MD must not be that good
Maryland's not as good as they were last year, but beating them in College Park would would still be huge. We're two weeks removed from losing at home to Gardner-Webb for God's sake, so let's enjoy this one while we can!

Jacobsen's shots the first half were uncontested and in rhythm. He previously was taking way too many rushed 3s. Now that we have other guys that are a threat it opens Jake to get some better looks. Just a way better mix it appears with the freshmen playing more.

Huskers are also way more athletic on the defensive end, which has been huge today. They've made Trimble a non-factor and defended very well in the paint. Whether they can keep it up for 40 minutes, who knows? But the defensive effort has been terrific today.

Another absolute horse shit foul call on Jacobson. Gonna have to be 8-10 points better than the Terps today to have any chance.

If Jordy can improve and replace Jacobson theres no reason we cant make the post season

These officials will not let Maryland lose.

On a side note, Maryland better have a great chiropractor on staff for all of the head flopping by melo. That guy has soccer player written all over him.

The other two guys seem okay, but Ted Valentine might as well be wearing the big turtle mascot outfit.

Horne is struggling with Maryland crashing down on him. Should open up the lanes so we can go inside

Huskers settling for too many jumpers. Get back to moving without the ball, and better shots will come.

Maryland has definitely stepped up their energy level on D and they are knocking down shots.
Absolutely. But NU also got really flat-footed on offense, with one guy dribbling and four guys standing around. Too early to panic and just start jacking up the first shot you see.

Hey everyone - it's the Ted Valentine Show!

He's going to foul out every Husker starter before this game is over.

So, Morrow's going up for a shot and a Maryland player crashes down on him so hard that he can't get the shot released - and he gets a 1-and-1? Okay.
