NIL and agreements with transfer players????So why didn't Jacobsen play all year?

We’re bad enough on offense without him on the floor. He’s getting some of Rollie’s and Meah’s minutes. So why didn't Jacobsen play all year?
Essegian has to be square and unhurried to make shots from 3 it appears. Streaky shooter and he threw up some bad bricks in the second half. He had some nice feeds and drives. Had some big shots in the first half to help us build a lead then fell apart late😕
He sucks anyways.. He is starting to get more annoying.Gus Johnson went from calling March Madness games, to having to call the games at this tournament
Never cared for him. Only guys worse than him are the ESPN radio team in the afternoons. Freddy and Harry I think are their names. 🤮He sucks anyways.. He is starting to get more annoying.
There’s been nothing negative about it for us so far. I believe I heard the winning players of the game last night got 50,000 gift bags. 🤷♂️Like I said before.. Win or lose, this is a point and laugh tournament, nothing more.
Nebraska wouldn't have even accepted a bid if Omaha was in.
Fox can do better than Gus, he’s terrible his voice grates on me, I’d almost rather listen to Beth. Remember I said almostGus Johnson went from calling March Madness games, to having to call the games at this tournament
I think we have already established what this tournament is.You have to be in a power4 conference to play in this tournament and Omaha wouldn’t be invited.Like I said before.. Win or lose, this is a point and laugh tournament, nothing more.

Good question but after Mondays win several posters on here were saying he shouldn't be on the floor or something close to thatSo why didn't Jacobsen play all year?
Who said anything like that?Good question but after Mondays win several posters on here were saying he shouldn't be on the floor or something close to that
Ed Cooley was there for those 9 winsThough G Town has a first year coach and had 9 wins last year
Well you would hope to recruit players who are more of an offensive threat than he is.Good question but after Mondays win several posters on here were saying he shouldn't be on the floor or something close to that
Beating shorthanded Arizona St and GTown is one thing but we’ll need a lot of fire power in the B1G next season without Brice and Gary.Good question but after Mondays win several posters on here were saying he shouldn't be on the floor or something close to that
Sorry my bad. 2nd year coach.Ed Cooley was there for those 9 wins
Why couldn’t they show up during the last 5 games of the season?I mean, this tournament means nothing in the grander scheme of things. But if you’re gonna accept a spot in one of these tournaments then show up and play to win. I poked plenty fun at this tournament, but as long as it isn’t hurting recruiting (can’t really say either way right now) it’s a net positive IMO.

It’s the inconsistency that remains in Fred’s program that like you said is maddening. Being capable but failing is harder to take than just flat out being bad is.Wish they would’ve. My point was you don’t just accept an invite to one of these tournaments because that’s all you got to go with. You better be motivated and believe you can win some games or the whole thing. If you’re not committed to playing well and team is giving off a “going through the motions” vibe, you might as well decline and get to recruiting.
But yeah, it’s maddening that we couldn’t play with such poise and urgency the last 5-6 games of the regular season. Not knowing what could’ve been is, for many people, is a lot harder to deal with than playing in the B1G/NCAA tournament and flaming out in the 1st round. Not knowing sucks…
The best analogy is it’s like going to a minor bowl game with a 6-6 regular season football record. You get more practices to supposedly help for the next season and an additional game(s) to play.I mean, this tournament means nothing in the grander scheme of things. But if you’re gonna accept a spot in one of these tournaments then show up and play to win. I poked plenty fun at this tournament, but as long as it isn’t hurting recruiting (can’t really say either way right now) it’s a net positive IMO.
Look at where they were pre Cooley. Patrick Ewing was the Scott Frost of college basketball, except even worse. Cooley is a good coach and will get the Hoyas back to relevance.Ed Cooley was there for those 9 wins
Sam still has eligibility left?In an ideal world Sam would be a senior and Jacobsen would pick up his role of "defender, scrappy, energy guy" next year. Instead, we'll get both of them on the floor while more physically gifted and talented guards run circles around them. The reason we look better in this tournament is because we're not playing B1G teams and ASU and GT haven't resembled those rosters at all. Outside of one guy from ASU nobody has looked remotely interested in rebounding. I'm not saying that B1G basketball is the best, but it's different.
I'm wondering how the diehard members of the Sam Fan Club would have reacted if anyone else on the team had jacked up two brainlessly quick three-pointers with around 3:00 to go and a 10-point lead over Georgetown? Had they not blown a couple of layups, those gems opened the door for that game to go right down to the wire.Sam still has eligibility left?
Jeez
My bad, I still had Bobby Hurley on the brain. It was the Georgetown game, around the 3-minute mark:The last shot Sam took vs Asu was a 3 pointer with 3.5 min left that put us up 10
