At 35:57 Carriker mentions a rumor of Holgorsen in Lincoln to help out.
Interesting to bring in a Leach disciple when you want to presumably run the ball more consistently. Regardless, Holgorsen’s skullet can coach circles around this staff if true.
Carriker mentioned that earlier in the show, which makes this development even more interesting. He's currently an analyst with TCU.
Yeah, I know. But there could be some legs to this given the prior interest in the spring.I heard Nick Saban and Urban Meyer are in town too.
Hy-Vee lit this afternoon.I heard Nick Saban and Urban Meyer are in town too.
If true it does show Rhule’s complete disconnect of how to win in the BIG. Air raid offense coupled with a 3-3-5 defense screams BIG XII team to me. I suppose the thinking is that we have Baby Mahomes, might as well run the style of offense Mahomes ran in college. If that's the style of offense we're going to go with, Rhule is a fraud and just tells fans what they want to hear about being a physical ball control team that huddles and wears teams down. Nebraska Football will never consistently be good if they try to be some wannabe pro style offense with zero run game.

Typically air raid offenses see a lot of 5 man boxes given that they’re 4 receivers wide. So yeah rushing yards can definitely be had in that system. Still would be a curious decision if it is indeed what’s happening.Dana may be an air raid guy, but he flat knows football. These stats are just from memory, so they could be off a little, but I recent read he has had a RB rush for at least 750 yards every year as a HC, and has had multiple backs go over 1,000 yards.
He was a big part of implementing the full diamond pistol formation when he was oc at Oklahoma State and they were peak. I'll give you that he likes to emphasize run more than some other air raid coaches, if the numbers are there in the box.Dana may be an air raid guy, but he flat knows football. Offensive analyst for Maryland. What's Baby Ferentz doing these days?

John Madden was seen at the local greyhound bus stationDon Shula and Vince Lombardi were seen at the Lincoln airport, but neither arrived on an airplane.
At this point Joe Paterno would be preferable to what we have.At this point even Jay Paterno would be preferable to what we have.
And Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, Don Shula and hank stram with Barry Switzer enrouteI heard Nick Saban and Urban Meyer are in town too.
Young Shula or old?And Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, Don Shula and hank stram with Barry Switzer enroute
It's actually a super simple offense at the core of it. Already have a 5 star QB who should excel at the ease of the offense compared to this overcomplicated wannabe pro style garbage.Doubt they can install an air raid offense over a bye week
Sarr’s problem no doubt isn’t that he doesn’t know the X’s and O’s It’s that he can’t apply what he knows.Holgorson has probably forgotten more football than dumb ass Satt even knows
Whoooaaa! That is a scary thought...At this point even Jay Paterno would be preferable to what we have.
Snow ran a 4-3 at Temple and a 3-3-5 at Baylor. How he used the 3-3-5 compared to White I have no idea. For example Iowa State has ran 3-3-5 for several years now, but uses it in a completely different fashion compared to us.Interesting. Two really good coaches, but with very different philosophies than our current coordinators.
Looks as though Rhule may be lining up his OC for next year with a head start now. Even with Snow, maybe Rhule knows TW will be gone next yr for a HC coaching position.Interesting. Two really good coaches, but with very different philosophies than our current coordinators.

Not really Snow ran a 3-3-5 at Baylor with Rhule . And Holgerson is nothing like Leach on his air raid stuff . Look at his time at Oklahoma state and West Virginia.they ran the ball a lot.Interesting. Two really good coaches, but with very different philosophies than our current coordinators.
Dana’s offensive philosophy and use of the air raid is not even close to what Leachs was .Dana likes to use the run . sometimes you have to pass first to do that.this is true
Leach's quarterback coaching philosophy famously started and ended with:
"You, the guy with the ball. Throw it to the guy who's open".
or
"Well, just throw it to the guy who's fricking open!"

They had a guy named Tavon Austin that was about the size of Barney that played both WR/RB and had 1,200 receiving and 600 rushing his senior year.they ran the ball from 2014-2016 at west va
