He did have full reign until the Indiana debacle. After that Rhule involved himself in the play calling in both the OSU and UCLA games. In fact after DR threw a pick six against the Bruins, Rhule called six consecutive runs for 30 yards on the ensuing drive. You assume he had free reign...
I don't get the hate for the man. It's juvenile.
Completely agree. All criticism of Satt as an OC is/was warranted. Good thing he hasn't had that position for months now. I think the main angle of continued criticism of Satt is to use him as yet another excuse to bitch about literally everything about Rhule. For some people.Seems like arguing semantics, really. "Fans hate him" doesn't really mean they actually hate him as a person. Most, if not all, of the posters on here don't know him as a person. I assume the "hate" is more hating the job he did, which seems more than rational to me. If you don't hate the job he did (or didn't do) as our OC, you're a special kind of blind dumb homer.
I guess that makes one person interested in Kongs opinion. Do we have a second?I would say if he’s a good enough TE coach you don’t throw money away firing him but I’m interested in Kongs opinion.
Several hundred thousand.Yep. Then we could have laid out tens of thousands more to replace him as TE coach......![]()
Exactly. Kind of amazing really. We’ve had Bo’s competence at being a football coach, and incompetence at being a normal crazy coach on the sidelines-insisting on being an absolute lunatic instead. Then we’ve had Mike Riley‘s immaculate performance at being a nice guy and incompetence everywhere else. Then we’ve had Scott Frost’s competence at being a frat boy, but incompetence at being a head coach.Completely agree. All criticism of Satt as an OC is/was warranted. Good thing he hasn't had that position for months now. I think the main angle of continued criticism of Satt is to use him as yet another excuse to bitch about literally everything about Rhule. For some people.
tell that to EJ, who we nearly lost because of SattThe situation does not appear awkward to the other coaches or players. There does seem to be a weird hatred of Satt coming from a small slice of the fanbase.
You got a source on that?tell that to EJ, who we nearly lost because of Satt
maybe.. or maybe notDH was given full control of the offense and he made one coaching change.
He probably knows what he is doing.
You don't remember? You got a source on that?

Lol, husker redditYou don't remember?
And then EJ became basically our feature back the second half of the year, and then on top of all that, we nearly lost him to the portal.
Do your own research.. geez..

We're paying Satt one way or another. It appears clear that he wasn't a good game day coach. He may be great during the week. Having him as a former OC as our TE coach is probably a benefit. We're paying him one way or another and as long as Dana can work with him we should have no problem with it. We basically almost completely overhauled our skill position coaching on offense with virtually no disruption. I think that's a good thing. I don't get the hate for the man. It's juvenile.
EJ wanted paid and he got it.If what was said was true you think EJ would be back with Satt anywhere on Staff? You listen to King monkey to much.
