Hoiskers travel to Eugene to take on Altman’s Ducks as +6.5 dog

Other than Zeke there is literally not a single person saying this. NO WAY he gets an extension after this year, makes zero sense.
I am saying it is way to early to tell. They make the dance a win one I disagree with the NO WAY part

Good point, slight chance if they win a game in the tournament I suppose. Zeke mentioned a contract extension if they make the tourney.

We win the Rutgers game and the USC game we are easily in as an 8 or a 9... Beating Illinois and Oregon canceled out those loses.

We were favored in the Rutgers/USC/Iowa games and Dogs in the Illinois/Oregon/UCLA games. The books had us at 4-7 we are 4-7. Losing 6 in a row sucks, but it is definitely not over or as bad as we thought.

For the record I recently was in favor of dismissing Fred. The last two games changed that. Although I will say that six game losing streak, he is absolutely responsible for that and that can’t ever happen again.

And nothing says "this can't EVER happen again" like another $10 to $15 million dollars guaranteed!

I don’t know if Hoiberg is the answer, at least for the long haul. Husker hoops are most likely going to be a year-to-year situation for the foreseeable future. At the very least, Hoiberg has made it better for the next coach if that is what happens. Don't let HDS (Hoiberg Derangement Syndrome) eat at you. Let it play out.

Got to have faith and take the chance if you want reach the peak.
Again - why is this a "chance" that NU must take? Where is Fred going? Who's hiring him away, based on the fact that NU "only" has him under contract for another four years?

Or do you really think the top 22-year-olds in the portal this offseason are demanding to know who NU's coach will be in 2030?

Fred will be highly sought after. You are taking him for granted and he could be gone and you’ll be asking what happened? I can’t predict where he would go. You asking me to name a team? If so that would be ridiculous. Lots of people have been in positions that others thought they’d never leave. Speaking of Oregon, when Dana Altman returned to Creighton after spending a few days as Arkansas coach he said he wanted to retire at Creighton. 3-4 years later he was off to Oregon.
Are you afraid of keeping a coach around for 10-15 years?

If suitors are lining up at Fred's door looking to buy out the four remaining years on his contract and outbid NU for his services, surely you can name at least one of them. How hard can that be?

Because if I named a school it would be me making sh!t up. I can’t predict the future. It seems to me you have little to no respect for Fred. You are asking me to make crap up, I refuse to do that. Because as soon as I do you’ll tell me it’s impossible, that the program would never hire a trash coach lol me Fred. Find someone to play your games with because I’m not.

This is what amazes me about people who get fanboy man-crushes on college coaches.

Hoiberg is under contract through 2029, at nearly $5 million per year. And because a two-game winning streak that pushed NU into 13th place in the Big Ten standings doesn't make me want to break out the checkbook to the tune of another $10 to $15 million, this automatically means that I "have little to no respect for Fred."

Christ on a bike - get a grip already.
