If Berke does what he did this game the rest of the season, the Huskers will be in great shape. He's a rebounder and defender first, scoring contributor second. I will say he is a little disappointing from a basketball IQ standpoint considering his Euro background.

He had several inexcusable turnovers last night and forced some shots when he should have dished on drives. I complimented Worster earlier this year for his game around the bucket but he stunk it up last night until he got to the line in the last few minutes. As far as his ball handling goes, if I was reffing he would be called for palming/traveling every time he dribbles. I know everybody does it but he’s really blatant about it.
Rollie finally did at the free throw line at the end. He had a rough night otherwise.
It is simple... Berke and Worster need to be more consistent. Both have the ability to make us better, but the only way they can is to remain consistent
If he was a 6’5” point with all the skills you listed AND shot the 3 at a high % he wouldn’t be at Nebraska. You’re right, he’s imperfect but he has a role.
Would have to respectfully disagree. If you’re a point guard you should be some sort of competent shooter. He is not. In fact he’s a really bad shooter. I’d rather have Sam take more of his minutes as Sam is a much better and smarter player and can make shots. I don’t disagree that Worster is gritty, but so is Sam.
Sam can't play PG. Go watch the end of the Illinois game if you need to verify.
We really don’t have a point guard that can do the things you want them to do. Even Ulis is marginal.
Rollie is the best of our options.
We all want a PG that can drive to the bucket (and finish), dish out 10 assists, shoots 3 pointers from anywhere, rebounds, plays defense like a blanket (steals), and also sell popcorn at halftime. Basically a 20-10-5-3 guy. Where can we find one of those?
I was at the game. I was thinking during the first half are the Huskies ever going to stop making 3s. I think the Huskers will go as far as Gary and Williams will take them. Connor kept them in the game until they got rolling. Sam is the positive glue for this team. Worster started out bad but got better. Does not look 6’ 5” in person. Before the game the Husker team was warming up near me so I played fan boy. I talked to Allick for a few minutes and he introduced me to Morgan. I sat just to the left of the Husky bench. My brother said I was on TV quite a bit. I am now at my Husky brother’s house in suburban Vegas. Nice to walk in his house after a win. Chiefs!
