And do it now if you’re Frost. He’s currently an analyst at WV for his buddy, Neal Brown (who actually almost hired him away from MN before the ‘19 season). He runs the perfect clock grinding RPO offense to pair with a great Defense. He was at Penn State at ‘20 but was fired after the season-unfairly took the blame for their issues in a COVID year. But he is most notably the architect behind MN’s ‘19 season of 11-2 where MN averaged 37pts a game (34.5pts in the Big10). Before the ‘20 season, our own @frontrunner said he would like to see Neb run MN’s RPO offense as if would play to our/2AM’s strengths as well.

Other Pros
•Coached Joe Flacco at Delaware
•Considered an elite game planner and play caller
•Coached WRs at Rutgers including Kenny Britt
•He’s beaten Wisconsin in ‘18 and almost did it at WM in the bowl game in ‘16
•Coached QBs while also being the OC at MN…Tanner Morgan’s best season
•His offense produces great WRs (Corey Davis, Rashod Bateman, Tyler Johnson ) despite being run based
•Low recruited OLs at MN turned into one of the best OLs in the BIG
•He left MN for PSU by calling PJ Fleck on Christmas morning, a few hours before they were going to board the plane for Tampa for their Bowl game, to tell him he was leaving…which is savage and tells he he had had it with the Fleckster (a guy who loves to beat Frost).

Cons
•He’s 56
•TEs only had 11 catches in ‘19 and seldom targeted
•He’s a meh recruiter
•Players don’t exactly run through brick walls for him (but he’s not a bad guy)
•May want to stay on the east coast. Fleck in classic Fleck ego style, defended the defection of Ciarrocca to PSU (who MN had just defeated 4 weeks prior) by saying Ciarrocca wanted to end his career on the east coast (which wasn’t true).

His RPO based offense would be a easy conversion with Frost’s concepts. Fleck’s conservative approach of wanting to play “Tressell ball” I think held Ciarrocca back and played into him almost leaving for WV and then when he did to PSU. I think under Frost, he could be even more explosive..with a QB run game with taking the run option (something Morgan seldom did in ‘19 but ran all over us in the 2nd half of the ‘18 game that we beat them in).
