This is why I think Sims plays for a quarter today. It would also not be fair to keep him from live reps a week before michigan.Assuming HH does well again I don’t see how you can start Sims against Michigan even if he’s 100%. Not really fair to Sims to have not played in 3 weeks and then start him against the #2 team in the country after having really struggled the first 2 games.
This. We need a steady hand at QB against Michigan. If Haarberg plays well today he should start against Michigan. Sucks for Sims but he had his chance to prove himself and he screwed it up.Assuming HH does well again I don’t see how you can start Sims against Michigan even if he’s 100%. No excuses for Sim's turnovers but 2 games on the road against power 5 teams (one was a top 20 team) is different than 2 games at home against group of 5 teams. Rhule is resting Sims for Michigan. If Sims is actually still injured at all, keep him on the sidelines unless we’re losing a close game and HH has looked bad or gets hurt. Ideally we’re up enough to just throw Purdy in. We likely need both QBs this year the way they both play, so we have to keep them both healthy as much as possible.
Sims can stay on the bench as far as I'm concerned. Give Purdy the mop-up duty.I hope HH tears if up and we get to see Sims later in no-pressure mop-up roll.
Fair? WTF is this? Pop Warner? Sims can continue to sit on the sidelines and be a cheerleader. This is why I think Sims plays for a quarter today. It would also not be fair to keep him from live reps a week before michigan.
One thing I’d like to see from HH is a bit more decisiveness in the passing game…I think that will come the more reps he gets but you can definitely see a little apprehension from himNeed to take the gloves off and come out slinging the ball. The passing game needs A LOT of work before Michigan.

Agreed. People are way too focused on Michigan. We need to focus on the big picture of trying to get bowl eligible and win the west. That will involve baby steps. Reducing turnovers last week was a start. Now we need to start upping the turnovers on D and start completing some forward passes on O.Let’s see if he can deliver another solid performance. I don’t think any of us expect him to dominate Michigan. However, I think he would be a safer start than Sims.
We need another confidence builder. The West is still up for grabs and there’s not any doubt they can win it

He actually was pretty close to a few completions downfield last week. Thinking of the route to hill.Oh boy.. Hopefully he's shown the ability to throw the ball down the field this week in practice.
Michigan is all of a sudden a huge measuring stick because of how Haarberg played last week.Agreed. People are way too focused on Michigan. Not for me.Michigan is all of a sudden a huge measuring stick because of how Haarberg played last week.
Nobody was talking about Michigan before he played, including all off-season.
“Fans” are desperate to run here and say “I told you so” if he fails to match blows with the best team on our schedule while at the same time making excuse after excuse for sims’ performance against two crap teams on the road.
This was my thought as well. The defense is why people are interested in the Michigan game. Prior to the start of the season we didn’t dream that our defense would be as tough as it’s been. It’ll be nice to see them measure up against Michigan. Not for me.
Thats only a measuring stick for our defense.
The last sentence in this post has everything to do with Haarberg/sims (more Haarberg, because we simply don’t know. Sims will absolutely suck)This was my thought as well. It has nothing to do with Haarberg or Sims. Our offense will struggle no matter who starts.
Sucks for sims? I’m guessing nobody’s more relieved.This. We need a steady hand at QB against Michigan. If Haarberg plays well today he should start against Michigan. Sucks for Sims but he had his chance to prove himself and he screwed it up.
FIFY…Assuming HH does well again I don’t see how you can start Sims ever again….
And "when" the offense struggles, it will put a Diaco on the defense. This was my thought as well. The defense is why people are interested in the Michigan game. He seemed decisive when the receivers were open. More apprehensive when our receivers were covered, which was a lot. There were a couple plays he should have thrown early, then they got covered. I'd rather see cautious and no completion than letting it fly into coverage and get a pick. One thing I’d like to see from HH is a bit more decisiveness in the passing game…I think that will come the more reps he gets but you can definitely see a little apprehension from him
And the rest of the post has to do with the defense. No need to twist it to fit your narrative. The last sentence in this post has everything to do with Haarberg/sims (more Haarberg, because we simply don’t know. Sims will absolutely suck)
You could see HH feeling it as the game went on last week. I expect him to kick ass and take names today and make any thought Rhule has of sticking Sims back in very uncomfortable. The last sentence in this post has everything to do with Haarberg/sims (more Haarberg, because we simply don’t know. Sims will absolutely suck)
This is opinion, not realityThe reality is that none of our QBs are good. Their ceiling is average, but it’s doubtful they reach that ceiling. Likewise, the ceiling for this team.
Twist? You included a jab at the quarterbacks in a post which said, and I quote, “it has nothing to do with the quarterbacks”And the rest of the post has to do with the defense. No need to twist it to fit your narrative.
I know you can’t help it, but you should try to let people’s post stand on their own.
It wasn’t a jab at the quarterbacks, it was simply a fact, not opinion.Twist? You included a jab at the quarterbacks in a post which said, and I quote, “it has nothing to do with the quarterbacks”
Could’ve just left that part out of it was indeed all about the D
