A lot of "At the end of the day and it is what it is" talk.
It was. “At the end of the day” on a few occasions gave me the creeps though..
he seems pretty direct (Dana is too) and I think we need a lot of that. Let Matt be the mouthpiece and communications expert, let these kinds of guys do the actual football coaching.

curious why nobody wanted to hire him as a DB coach if he was due for a promotion.

The Bills hired him as a DB coach. We hired him as a DB coach. So not nobody.
The Bills were happy to send him to his couch back in February, much like how South Carolina was happy to let Satterfield go.
