He Doesn’t Sound That Dumb

The Bills hired him as a DB coach. We hired him as a DB coach. So not nobody.
The Bills were happy to send him to his couch back in February, much like how South Carolina was happy to let Satterfield go.

Do you ever ask yourself why, or are you a "the empty glass might be half full at some point" type of gal/guy?

However, the Bills did not send him to his couch. He sent himself, to find an opportunity that would put him into a better position to become a DC.

Do you ever ask yourself why you neglect pertinent details of a story to fit a false belief.

two things 1) shave the head coach- as a bald guy to another it’s time, it’s time
2) sounds good - not seeing the strain but at the end of the day they’re moving around well and taking one play at a time

wrong.

He and the Bills "mutually agreed to part" back in February 2024.

then nobody called for his services for half a year.

nope, do you?

The bills didn’t send him to the couch . He wanted the DC job and didn’t get it. He basically left.

So, since a guy parted ways with an organization that had one of the top DB play in all of the NFL, you believe he was fired because he was a bad db coach?

Then you believe no one was willing to hire him as a DB coach with the above accolade, it couldn't of been that maybe not many people were actively looking for a db coach and/or that Butler might be looking for the right situation? How many hoops do you need to jump through before you realize that your narrative ridiculous.

time will tell, but the Bills defense hasn't really gotten worse without him. ours got considerably worse (dropped 11 spots in pass defense) with him.

yes. obviously. likely for the same reason he was fired from the Texans.

Sean McDermott was a DC/DB coach for years, so i'm not buying that Butler was the brains behind their defense, and i'm embarrassed that you are.

He stayed for nearly month after they Bills hired Babich on Jan 30. He left in late February, when he decided he wanted to be a coordinator and see what was out there. He even stated he was prepared to sit out the year because it was a little late in the hiring season when he stepped down.

Eerily reminiscent of the “Glenn Thomas is a highly respected QB whisperer who is gonna fix our offense” talk from last offseason.

Predictably, he was shit, and we required an adult who has succeeded at the role to step in.

Looking forward to revisiting these threads next year.
