I received a few more text responses this evening from Florida linebacker Greg Simmons and Nebraska tight end/defensive end Noah Fant that I will share below. I asked both of them where things currently stood with them and Nebraska and they replied:
"Nebraska stands very high," Simmons said in a text.
I responded back asking Simmons if he was getting close to any kind of decision or announcement.
"No, not yet. I want to focus on my team camps in the summer and some visits."
I then asked him where he was planning to visit.
"Ohio State (tomorrow), Auburn, Alabama, Georgia (next month)."
I also asked him what will determine where he ends up going to college.
"Where I feel the most comfortable."
Lastly, I asked Simmons why he was so high on Nebraska.
"Because they have the best coaches and players."
Then, Noah Fant responded via text to the same initial question about where things stood with him and Nebraska:
"They are still high on my radar! Not much has changed."
I inquired back asking which other programs were high on his list.
"UCLA, Vanderbilt and Iowa."
I asked him a few more questions but did not give any further responses.
