I don’t think we should change any of our coaches. Not after one year and having no QB, massive injuries, and little depth. I am no fan of this staff anymore. They lost me along the way. But if we are to have any hope we need to stick with these guys. We need continuity and stability. We need to recruit. We need systems on both sides of the ball that are drilled into the players over several years.

I am tired of waiting. This “wait three years” shit is getting old. We need to win.

But there ain’t no magic bullets. We suck. Our program is a shambles. And these are the guys we are stuck with. So we better hope they turn out to be good and stop fantasizing about “A” list coaches coming here. Nobody wants to come here.

Alex Smith & Kyle Trask were 2* recruits and Dak Prescott was a 3* recruit.

I could give 2 shits what the star rating is. That just means the recruiting blowhards are as bad as they seem to be and missed on them as QB's. The point is we do not have those type QB's with that kind of talent currently on the roster.

right right, you knew Alex Smith was going to lead his team to an undefeated season the whole time, right? predicted that Dak Prescott would set Orange Bowl records? and when Kyle Trask was getting offers from McNeese State and Houston Baptist, you just knew he was the type of QB who would one day lead his team to the SEC Championship?

Dan Mullen at this point wouldn’t want to take a back seat as OC. Plus, while those southern coaching names sound attractive I don’t know how effective they would be recruiting the same type of talent to Nebraska.

It's amazing how little some of these guys understand about the coaching profession. If Mullen takes a coordinator job, it will be at a top five program or the SEC.

like when the Gators went from 4-7 to 10-3 in his first year? like when he coached Alex Smith, Tim Tebow, Dak Prescott and Kyle Trask to tremendous results?

its clear you don't watch college football outside of Nebraska, but i'm guessing you heard of those guys when you decided to bandwagon the Chiefs

The biggest improvement we could make is to get a legit QB coach. Back to the days of 2AM, he should have sued Nebraska for the lack of coaching we gave him. When your freshman year is your best year something is wrong. Afraid the same think is happening to Purdy. He may turn out to be NFL caliber but he has had no coaching at NE. Whips and Satts both part time ?? And we wonder why our QB underperform.

The next big steps are replacing the receiver coach. A 23 year old is called an intern, not a coach. Then get a real tight ends coach, not an Analyst. Does anybody on her think Fidone is showing his full potential.
