I learned this all the way back in high school. Freshman year we had a lineman that was short, heavy and bench pressed over 300. I was a tall, relatively skinny kid at 6'1 175 and bench pressed about 200. Every time I lined up against him in drills I drove him backward. Leverage and quickness were far more important. After that was lower body strength.Thought he was much faster than that. Iowa's TE ran that two days ago.
The bench press is so worthless, I can't believe they still use it.
