Garcia-Castaneda in transfer portal

thought he'd be a perfect fit in the slot

don't think he played a single snap there

oh well
Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda game-by-game this season: - Northwestern: 34 snaps, 7 targets, 4 catches, 120 yards, 1 TD - North Dakota: 23 snaps, 0 targets - Georgia Southern: 24 snaps, 2 targets, 2 drops - Oklahoma: 25 snaps, 1 target, 1 catch, 0 yards

I think every one of his snaps came as the 'X' on the outside of the formation

Under Frost leadership this would be another uprising about how he cant keep players in program. Under Mickey, its seen as a good riddance. Just funny how when a coach demands accountability and we are seeing it somewhat on the field, nobody cares about the slackers leaving the program. I for one say adios to the guy. Just waiting to hear about Omar next, but for some reason he is content to hang around and not play.

Have you been following the team under Frost? Greg Bell comes to mind.
That’s true. But Bell and some others seemed to arrive with a lot hype, played early for that reason, then flopped. Garcia-Casteneda seemed like he had emerged as a contributor, but it was short-lived. I don’t see it as a big loss, just surprised at how quickly he apparently earned so much playing time, then lost it. But if he doesn’t want to earn it back, better to move on.

2 critical drops in that Georgia Southern game I think

The fact that his position coach became the interim HC and then he decides to leave is telling.

Palmer 1, Washington 2, Vokolek 3. I think we will see Grant more involved in the receiving game.
