Colin Cowherd will now start ripping Nebraska about not belonging and Husker fans will start paying attention to his show and giving him ratings. He did it to Iowa all season and this preseason. People get so worked up over it and I find it funny.
I'm sorry but Nebraska is not a top 10 team yet. At this point they are more fake than Iowa last year. But, unlike Iowa, Nebraska gets a chance to prove it on the field. Winning at Indiana today will go a long ways towards that. (Did I really just say that about Indiana)?

The sarcasm is so disrespectful. They don't do that to any other team. I hope the players take this to heart and comes to play.
I understand all of that but it's just the way they present their skepticism. You can say "they have a lot to prove" instead of laughing and being disrespectful.Sorry, guys. We haven't beaten anybody yet and we haven't looked impressive beating the lower echelon teams we have played.
I hope they use it as motivation and, sure, the Gameday crew could have been more kind in giving their assessment, but they aren't necessarily wrong. From what I've seen so far, we are definitely not a top 10 team. Average team or good team? Yet to be determined. If we stay undefeated until Wisconsin we will find out then.
Pretty much. But then again, not many teams are as dominant as Nebraska in the 90's. in fact, their might only be one comparison and that's Bama now.So what your saying nicely is we're not viewed as a power house like we were in the late 1990's, we're viewed like Iowa in the 2010's.
Oh ya that makes sense. Nebraska is a good team or they wouldn't be 5-0. It amazed me at how everyone downplayed Iowa at 12-0 last year. I don't care how easy your schedule is perceived to be, 12-0 is impressive. Otherwise, everyone would be doing it. Winning does cure all and Nebraska has the upcoming schedule to prove everyone wrong.I think it was the fact the Gameday was laughing at us just being a good team. All we can do is keep winning .
Exactly!!!!It's the same question our fans ponder on this FAN site. I think sometimes people look for a reason to feel slighted.
I think if I look at vulnerable top 10 teams playing on the road and I'm a national broadcaster I would pick them too.
Regarding the laughing I think they were laughing at how much hatred Husker fans have for Kirk.
I don't get to attend many games, but I went to the Iowa-Nebraska game last year. Despite Nebraska losing, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Iowa play a very disciplined game. That's how they got to 12-0 (by keeping themselves in position to win games), and I would be ecstatic if NU did the exact same this year. I think those who followed Iowa last year recognize they weren't a flashy elite team and that they certainly had a ceiling, but there's still something to be said about going 12-0 in a Power 5 conference.Oh ya that makes sense. I watched it and was not surprised. Like it or not - it is desrved. This program has not done anything worthy since the turn of the century. Anytime it has looked like we might turn the corner, we have disappointed. Win the games we are supposed to and be competitive and win some we are not, the respect will come back. Until then, any logical mind will assume the same old, same old.Talk about no respect. Question was asked if we were a top ten team. They basically were laughing at us being a good team not just a top ten team.
Just keep winning!
Exactly, look at Louisville and Duke, Clemson and half their opponents, Tennessee, ect. Nebraskas schedule is fairly weak, but it wasn't supposed to be, and they've taken care of business.I wonder how much college football some of our fans watch. The constant we are not a top ten team posts are beyond a little lame. There are only about five dominanat teams out there and we are right there with the next group of 10-15 teams.

It has always been that way. No respect against Florida in 95. Heard Chad Kelsey talk about how no one nationally gave the Huskers a chance. I think no one nationally ever believed that we belonged partially because we won with walk-ons a some sprinkled in amazing talent. They just don't believe in Nebraska resolve! It's real!!!The sarcasm is so disrespectful. They don't do that to any other team. I hope the players take this to heart and comes to play.
I see your point, but Cowherd is focusing on the weak non-conference Iowa schedules. At the time games like Fresno State were scheduled, they were an 11 win team. Obviously Oregon was good, but you cannot guarantee what they will be a few years later. Iowa has appeared to not step out and try to schedule overly tough opponents, and that is Cowherd's main problem with Iowa.Colin Cowherd will now start ripping Nebraska about not belonging and Husker fans will start paying attention to his show and giving him ratings.
