It’s America, he can root for anyone he wants if he idolizes Mahomes I have no issue with any of that after all I idolized Pistol Pete in my youth but it doesn’t mean I have to like the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl.

in order to root for the chiefs, you have to be okay with WRs who throw their pregnant girlfriends down the stairs, a front office that allows known addicts to consume in the building and paralyze a little girl on their drive home and an organization that ignores its own players' cries for help so much that one shoots himself in the parking lot of the facility.
if that doesn't make you a scumbag, I don't know what does.
hopefully DR leads us to some meaningful wins in his career. he may be a scumbag with an identity crisis, but he's our scumbag with an identity crisis.

I have to be ok with this because he is our QB and I care much more about the Huskers success than any one player, but... man I really hope he gets a buzzcut and his own non-Mahomes-influenced personality at some point. I get that it's fun to be a fan and to have access like this, but I can't even deny that the idolatry is all a litttttle much haha.

He is still well below the hype and ratings coming out of high school. We'll see if as a sophomore he can make a jump. We all hope so. We all need it to happen.
Pretty rare for the top recruit in a class to go to a team that hadn't gone bowling in 7 years. So pretty hard to accurately rate him. He definitely needs to improve, but I don't think anyone realistically thought he was winning the Heisman year one.
I agree. I don't mind kids trying to model their games after their idols. We all did it as kids, but you are correct with the cosplay type stuff. It's just really weird how he tries to emulate everything single thing. It's like rock the hair cut, work on the arm angle stuff, but the rest just be yourself.
Every single 5 star freshman QB who gets thrown in the fire his first year struggles and doesn’t live up to his hype and most of them are on better teams. Add in the Satt factor. …..
Mahommes is probably the best QB in the league. At least he’s not trying to emulate Jameis Winston.
