FSU also hired Coop

There was only one on your account history unless it was deleted.

There were 2, but that's old news.

I said I'd more closely read the site's position on politics and try to abide.
Admittedly, a couple of times I pushed the envelope, and probably will again. LOL

Has Jaemekon been interested in rejoining the site? Unless, of course, its by his own choosing, since he's not a proven criminal undeserving of a pardon.

Having sex with an intern is sexual harassment doesn’t matter if it’s consensual or not. Giving his priors of the affair with DR Haskell and other complaints. It was taken out of Rhules hands . Troy and the university made the decision.
Oh I know that.

I am just saying that it is not SH...period. That is the stupid part. WE, us, people, have gotten stupid about this stuff because people have gotten stupid about going to court.

You are better than running for Jae IMO.

I am not saying I don’t agree on your point. But if Nebraska does nothing it becomes a story and Cooper is let go regardless. I personally think FSU is taking a serious chance here. Because This probably was not isolated incidents for Cooper. And then it becomes a TW and Pot roast issue. Because they both knew exactly why Coop was fired.

I get it, I do. But if people did not get hired because they have sex with other people at work, well, no one is ever getting hired.

He'll be fine at FSU. If Jamison could get away with rape Coop has no worries.

I think it is safe to say that every generation thinks the generation after them has bad taste in music and are super slutty.

Newsflash, it is all the same.
No shit. Now people are acting like the 60's didn't happen? The 1920's sounded pretty wild too.

There is a difference between 2 people who make tacos at Taco Bell banging and the CEO banging an intern. I get it. Your horny than your horny. But it sounds like he was warned and knew the ramifications. That means he made a choice.

And so did she...

Like I didn't what? I'm a monogamous faithful husband of 44 year
It's hard to imagine a guy being faithful to the same person for many, many years, but it does happen.

Kids bind the entire thing together, because it becomes so much about them, not just about you.

I have a lifelong friend for over 60 years and he and his wife have somewhat happy (other than when he got caught "funding" a hooker for gas), for over 40 years, but they never wanted kids. Nothing wrong with that, but I always tell him, "It's a good thing your mom and dad didn't feel that way."

Anyhow, when I was talking with his wife she was astounded that everything I talked about was primarily my kids.
Photos on the wall, how they are doing, etc. She said that is so cool, and now when she and her husband are older, its sad they have no one to care about or care about them.

People who marry, and choose not to have children, live lives that are all about themselves. It's a choice.

My oldest son is 43 and it still doesn't register that he's a middle aged man now. He waited to marry until a 6 years ago and now has 4 kids of his own 5,3, and twin one one year olds. I'm not sure my 2 younger kids will ever marry.

I think everyone operates on their on time line regarding marriage or not. My next door neighbor is a confirmed bachelor and he's probably 55. His mom told me when he was in his early 20's he was madly in love, she cheated on him, broke his heart and he swore off women. Some people never recover. I doubt he's even dated since then.

One of my best friend's sons had a similar situation. He wasn't engaged yet but they were in college and were talking about marrying after they finished school. Well she went out with some friends, got drunk, and screwed somebody who picked her up at the bar. His son didn't date for years until the divorced older sister of one of his buddies asked him to go out to dinner. Turned out she had more on her mind than dinner and they ended up married shortly after. Ironically he had played in a band with her first husband.. She had a son with her first husband and they've had two more kids. I think they've been married for at least 10 years now. Good woman. Her first husband was a drunk.

There was this interesting article I read, I forget the name but it was something like "The stranger sitting next to me"

It was about parents that basically devoted their entire life to their kids, it became their identity. One day, the kids are all grown up and moved out and you sit down next to your spouse and realize that you don't really know the person, that for the last 20+ years all your conversations were about the kids and now those kids are gone.

The other thing that plays in to that is that by then they've reached their career goals and lots of things change. Maybe momma has lost her interest in intimacy after menopause. Maybe papa has issues. Maybe one of them has let themselves go. Alcohol or drug abuse can be factors. One thing very common is a lack of faith and church in their lives. I've belonged to large and small churches. The largest church I belonged to rarely had people divorce in the 20+ years I attended there. Over 2000 members. I can only think of one couple in that time and the guy was an alcoholic gambling addict. The small church I belong to now with a female pastor has never had a couple who were members divorce in the 15 years we've been members.....other than the pastor..lol. Her husband who was also a pastor was a prison chaplain and had an affair with a woman he met online on a sadomasochist web site......

Not a fan of organized religion, large or small. If they're a 501(c3), which most are, no thank you.

I have my issues with many denominations. don't know of any church that isn't treated as a non-profit. Blame the framers of the constitution if you don't like that. There are some that shouldn't be. I was president of my church when we left the ELCA. All they seemed to be interested in was the money.

Banging an intern on the sofa in your office is never going to be “normalized”. How did the administration find out about the indiscretions? Clearly somebody filed a complaint.
