Looking at the transition class of 2018, it looks like only 8 of these players will end up being upper class contributors.

For 2019, it's early, but 16 are showing good signs of being upper class contributors and a few others might break out.

To early for the 2020 class, but 9 have already played some.

The 2017 class has 4 actual contributors

The 2016 class has 7 with the apparent moving on from Bo Wilson.

This team could be doing a lot of things better from silly mistakes, to game management, to finishing and playing in the 2nd half, but we're obviously still a long way away from a personnel standpoint to be able to compete for a conference title. However, the fact that we were able to beat Penn State who has a roster that more talented overall than us is a good sign. Man, if we wouldn't have had out normal crap Northwestern game, things would be looking up.

The honest truth though is that this throw away year will benefit us more than the teams that we're trying to catch up to mainly because we were so far behind. Moving our younger players forward and maybe keeping some of our good seniors for another year will help us greatly. I hope that Jaimes, Farinok, Honus, Miller, Dismuke, Domman, and Stoll can come back again. I think that Bootle and Wilson have been or will be passes up. Probably guys like Hixon, Bando, Sichterman, Walker, Wilson, Bootle, Rafdal, Wildeman, Hannah, Alston, and maybe some others will leave after this year. If everyone stayed for next year and we sign 23, we'll be at 105 meaning 20 will have to move on.
