Scotty's clearly just following in my footsteps. I moved from Lincoln to Vegas in September 2021 after being laid off. Now Scotty's moving from Lincoln to Vegas after being fired and getting a new job? He can't escape me apparently 🤣

If he wants a drinking partner from back home, I'm in as long as it's understood that he's definitely paying. After watching every game of his tenure, it's the least he could do.

I thought they played at sam boyd stadium but i havent followed news since i bailed on vegas in 2014.
Yea I thought so too but watched one unlv game this year and it was in the Raiders new stadium
yes, we play rugby in & around it.... host USA's stop on the International 7's rugby world tour when it's our week to host also.
I went to the vegas bowl completely randomly one time and had a blast
Right On, over the years between playing men's since '86 and coaching college since '04 probably 10-12 visits for rugby alone, not counting the vacations and visiting family - I did stay over a few times to combo the trips of course....

oh yea, I'm a repeat offender there, scored a few try's in Aspen at Ruggerfest, on both fields that main pitch Wagner and the Rio Grande too. Always a great tourney in Mid September, they now they have brackets up to over 55's I think....I had to finally move up to 45's a few years ago, the 35's were too much recovery time, but then as I told my mates, these are same damn dudes that we've been banging up with for 30 plus years now..... the halves are half the time they use to be, the stories are better and the post match is more satisfying, we love that tourney. The older the bracket the more spread out your dates/ vacation is to play, wed/fri/sun matches schedule for 55's & 45s I think with open & 35s (40s)? thurs/sat/sun..... One of our Husker coaches actually won a Natty coaching Aspen's men's 7s side.
It was pretty surprising from the people I've talked to. This was like their most exciting season in years and they can him after only 3 years.
Yeah it was a weird firing. 5-7 was a big step in the right direction for UNLV. He should have got another year to see if he could continue improving the program

He doesn't have to work as hard but would be better off back in FL somewhere where you don't have to work hard for recruits.
I thought at one point that Nevada recruiting would end up being really big but it just never happened.
