Yep. Worst coach in NU hoops history prior to this year. Maybe he’s 2nd worst now as far as win% is concerned?
I still don’t want him extended. He needs to prove this season isn’t the outlier it appears to be before any contract talks take place. Lots of pieces coming back, so he’ll also be dealing with expectations for the first time in his tenure

To be fair, Fred would have been fired if Moos hadn't given him a big extension that pushed his buyout to almost $20 million. Not many coaches survive with a 40-83 record in 4 years.
Fred must capitalize on this year's success, which is something Miles always failed to do when he had a good season. The 2014-15 and 2018-19 teams were both ranked in the Preseason Top 25, and both teams imploded. If Fred gets Mast, Williams, and Gary to return, and finds another good guard and post in the portal, next year's team will likely be Preseason Top 25 as well.

Pretty much cements Nebraska as tournament champ since we destroyed Wisconsin this year. Big advantage to play them instead of Purdue
Meaningless game for Purdue. Loss lets them get healthy, far from it atm. But Purdue is nothing like last years teams. Nothing is the same.

Not at all. Need to rest and get healthy. Painter played with lineups today. Meaningless game for Purdue. I wanted them to lose after Smith went down yesterday, then Edey got rolled in as well. Not great. Need both. Especially Smith. Guards win in march. It lacked last year.
Besides, win the big ten tourney, exit early. Not a good trend.
For recognizing a worthless game? The msu game was as well and almost ended the season.
