Biggest losers of signing day has us at number 5. I didn't expect us to be on this list and don't really consider us a loser on signing day although it would have been nice to fill our class with a few more guys.
What I do like seeing is Ole Miss, the Big 12, and Texas on there. Also, Arizona's class sounds putrid. Rich Rod is going going gone.

That is funny we're listed and their reasoning is "Nebraska missed out on 3 Top 100 players who are in UCLA and USC's backyard."

Haha what?

I think the biggest losers should have Fox Sports as #1 for having us on there. Either somebody has it out for us or is desperate to find somebody who fits on the list.

Or they want hits. An easy way to generate traffic is to put passionately followed team X on your worst of list so all of us go see the rationale. Unsurprisingly, it's quite poor.

In other news Jamire Calvin was named the #1 Flipper for the class of 2017.

Or they know we have a hypersensitive fan base who will flock to the article and repost it all over the interwebs
Putting somebody on a list just to get a rise out of a fanbase may be good for click numbers, but it's not good journalism.

Journalism RollingLaugh It's a sports web site
So they don't want people to take them seriously? OK. This isn't some random person's Bleacher Report sports column, this is under a major American sports network's name. I expect better from somebody like that.

Yeah it's poor and lazy. I don't know THAT much about other classes but there's gotta be major schools that did far worse than us on signing day.
I decided to post it for that but also for the others, especially the Big 12. That conference is in trouble.

Aren't "Fox Sports" and "Biggest Losers" redundancies?

Oh the irony. This board is example A in posting BS to get clicks (frankly it's the main factor as to why this free board still exists...).

GBR

As a Husker fan, I really find it old that "somebody has it out for us" excuse.
It's ridiculous to think everybody has it out for us. It's also ridiculous to think nobody does. I have no idea whether this guy does or not, but it wouldn't be a huge stretch to think that could play into why he puts us on a list that we clearly don't belong on.

The fact that Nebraska and Oklahoma are on here is a joke. The are both in the top 25 and Nebraska with 20 commits. Texas had a small class this year and signed a huge high caliber class last year and to throw in they have a coach that's been there for a month.

The biggest loser is Michigan St as they had a kid turn down an offer to walk on at Northwestern.

Relax....They are just saying we had a chance to get a really big fish but didn't.

Not that our class sucked. If those guys weren't rated high. We wouldn't have even showed up on the list.

I guess I'd rather be in on highly rated talent and go 2 for 5 on signing day than go 4 for 4 with lower rated kids. These are guys who were recruited hard all season long. In the past, we've battled with maybe another power five school over a kid that had previously not been recruited by either school.

Me too..going 4-4 on low rated kids wouldn't even received a mention.

Absolutely agree on the sentiment that they only way to lose out of Signing Day commits is to be in on Signing Day commits. The issue I think is that there was a perception that we went 2 for 7 on signing day commits, (In: Daniels, Blades; Out: Calvin, Oyemaobi, Lewis, Johnson, Lenoir) including 1 for 6 down the stretch with California options where we were supposedly in the final 2. This article was posted about an hour after all of the hype and hopes that we might close with a run of California kids. Whether true or not, going 1 for 6 on supposed coin flips leads some to feel your "lost" what you never actually had.

I would say I'm pleased with the class, but not satisfied. Wish we could of closed stronger. I hope all of the coaches are recruiting to the highest level.
