Filling out the staff and recruitment

Let’s see how the staff gets filled out, bringing in the best teachers and recruiters possible they run his system.

Excited to see what the off season brings.
For the love of God hire quality O and D line coaches!! And a strength coach that actually makes our kids stronger and faster!! Not slower and weaker!!

Keeping MJ is not a given. I read in another blog that there is a past connection between Matt R and MJ.....via mutual peers. Not for sure a positive one. So I dont think its a given that MJ will be retained.

I see Joe Brady here which is a boon as he will have his former receivers coach back and there is A LOT of coaching chemistry there and Brady coached one of the greatest offenses in CFB history at LSU.
Joe Brady was not the OC for that team. He’s flailed everywhere he’s been since then. This year he’s failing as Josh Allen’s QB coach. That’s tough to do

It seems likely that Trev and Matt have been connected for some time. Probably wanted to wait all along for the announcement. My guess is that Matt has been working on staff and recruiting issues for many weeks, knowing that the details with the panthers would ultimately get resolved. I would bet that they have plans A B and C ready to roll pfq.

IMO it’s all been about Rhule’s agent squeezing as much out of NU as he could. IF in fact it’s an 8 year deal that’s 2 more years than I could have imagined.

I’m really interested to see what he does for O and D line coaches. I’ll not be shocked if he wanted to keep Raiola😁
This O line has gotten better and played pretty well against a very stout D yesterday. Get a couple of guys back and find a JUCO or portal guy or two and Rhule can make Raiola work. I’m not saying it’s likely. I’m saying I wouldn’t be completely shocked. 99.9 % of Husker fans don’t know sh## about O line coaching.

I was on the road yesterday and had to listen to the game on Sirus, brutal Iowa announcers.

Watching the game play by play, replaying some plays in slo mo. Amazing that my mind saw the plays while listening and now seeing on replay.

As to your point about our OL, we still have a long ways to go, long ways. I thought at the start of the year it was going to take some time for that group but never really. Ame together like I hoped. They are better though, I will give you that.

When is the last time we had an assistant coaching staff where each guy was pulling his weight both coaching and recruiting? No more buddy hires, brothers, or former players who need a handout. Each guy has to earn his pay every single day.

In summary, here are some of the Matt Rhule coaching staff predictions. These are educated guesses. In many cases these are guys that have been with Rhule since the Temple years:

OC/QBs: Glenn Thomas
DC/Safeties: Phil Snow
Linebackers/ST: Mike Siravo
Co-OC/Running Backs: Jeff Nixon (Will’s father) or Applewhite retained
Defensive Line: Elijah Robinson or Frank Okam
Cornerbacks: Evan Cooper

My gut is that Mickey Joseph will be retained if he wishes. Another possible WR coach might be Joe Dailey.

Strength and Conditioning: Jeremy Scott
