Filling out the staff and recruitment

In summary, here are some of the Matt Rhule coaching staff predictions. These are educated guesses. In many cases these are guys that have been with Rhule since the Temple years:

OC/QBs: Glenn Thomas
DC: Phil Snow
Linebackers/ST: Mike Siravo
Co-OC/Running Backs: Jeff Nixon (Will’s father)
Defensive Line: Elijah Robinson or Frank Okam

Strength and Conditioning: Jeremy Scott

Cornerbacks Coach will likely be Evan Cooper, who has been with Rhule since his Temple days

Why not Marcus Satterfield, Rhule's OC at Temple, now the OC at South Carolina? Let's pay for the best!

South Carolina's offense is far from the best. They are currently ranked 77th in Total Offense, 95th in Rushing Offense.

Not sure which direction Rhule will go for an OL coach. His OL ace, George Deleone, unfortunately passed away recently.

Point taken.

However, they had a couple of clunkers, against Florida and Missouri, and Rattler has improved tremendously under Satterfield, and this is their first year at South Carolina. Put up 63 on Tennessee last week and 31 on Clemson so far today.

I wonder if Schiano is about to become available as a DC? He’s beaten absolutely nobody in three years at Rutgers, and they got destroyed today at Maryland. Probably gets one more year though.

Joe Brady was not the OC for that team. He’s flailed everywhere he’s been since then. This year he’s failing as Josh Allen’s QB coach. That’s tough to do
He failed with Rhule. They failed together. LOL

Seems kind of a double standard. I mean can you please help me understand why we are giving Rhule a pass for how badly he did since he left Baylor but a guy like Brady, not so much since he left LSU? Can you at least acknowledge the way that looks?

And you realize Allen is having a really good year too right? Probably going to have more passing yards then ever (2020 might end up being better) but he has a much more difficult schedule.

Just seems like a double standard. We should just pay attention to what Rhule did prior to the NFL but not what Joe did in college

Here’s the deal. Joe Brady was hired by Rhule at Carolina and fired by Rhule at Carolina. It is unlikely that Rhule is going to pick up his phone and ask Joe Brady to come coach for him. Almost as unlikely it would be for Joe Brady to answer the phone when the guy that fired him gives him a call.

In summary, here are some of the Matt Rhule coaching staff predictions. These are educated guesses. In many cases these are guys that have been with Rhule since the Temple years:

OC/QBs: Glenn Thomas
DC/Safeties: Phil Snow
Linebackers/ST: Mike Siravo
Co-OC/Running Backs: Jeff Nixon (Will’s father) or Applewhite retained
Defensive Line: Elijah Robinson or Frank Okam
Cornerbacks: Evan Cooper

My gut is that Mickey Joseph will be retained if he wishes. Another possible WR coach might be Joe Dailey.

Strength and Conditioning: Jeremy Scott
Mickey must stay!

I'd like that staff. Elijah Robinson please for DL.

I get that. But that really had 1) nothing to do with my post that you quoted. Never said Brady would be coming here. First I said was that Brady was a connection between Rhule and Mickey. Then I stated it was only fair to give Brady the same benefits you give Rhule.

And you don’t know if Rhule was forced to move Brady out. We don’t know their relationship or at least I don’t. For all I know Rhule could have very much liked Joe and was forced to fire him and would love the chance to work together again and they have a direct connection with Mickey. Hell, Brady might not be on their minds either.

I’m just mostly calling out the double standard

Glenn Thomas likely offensive coordinator. He was at Arizona State this season.
The run the damn ball people (like me) will be disappointed. ASU passed 404 times this year and ran 385 times. But it could be argued they were behind a lot and had to throw.

Rumor at the time - Brady was told by his head coach to run the ball more, he basically ignored the request. Was given a few games to change his play calling, he didn’t.

Biggest upgrade might be S&C. Baylor has had some athletic freaks in recent memory. Not sure how much of that was this guy, but he must have played a part.

Opens the door for a younger guy. Don’t count Raiola out. I know he’s taken a lot of heat but he was trying to make a meal with somebody else’s left overs.

A lot if not most of that was Rhule’s evaluation of high schoolers.

When you’re overmatched in the talent in the trenches you do what you’re best bet is to make big plays. They could be pretty explosive in the passing game from what I saw.

I’m really interested to see what he does for O and D line coaches. I’ll not be shocked if he wanted to keep Raiola😁

I would keep ravioli also in an administration position somewhere to help with out shot at getting his nephews to commit.

Kids don't show up out of high school looking like Greek gods. They were also developed.
Kim Baker from York did. Ben Leber from Vermillion SD did. It happens if a kid knows the right people and is highly motivated.

Go find the thread in here where it talks about the analytics and verifiable track times that Rhule used at Baylor.
