Favorite Irish movie

As an aside, not a movie - but my wife has watched "Derry Girls" about a dozen times. It actually is pretty funny at times.

What is classified as an Irish film? “In Bruges” takes place in Bruges, Belgium but the story is centered around 2 Irish hitmen hiding out there.

Waking Ned Devine: Absolutely hilarious.
The Matchmaker: Very funny romantic comedy
The Field starring Richard Harris and Tom Berringer. Dark movie with excellent acting and scenery.

Watching Braveheart right now. It's not exactly Irish, but the Irish play a part.

Gods and Generals is next - to honor the Irish brigade.

In my college years all the way to my early 30s it was Boondock Saints. I'd probably seen that movie over 100 times, it was great. Then after not seeing it for a couple of years, I watched it again and found that it's not a very good movie.

It kinda bummed me out knowing one of my favorite movies kinda sucked.

Movie scenes are from "The Wind that Shakes the Barley".

I've never seen it before, but this video makes it look good.

I know the feeling. I used to love Adam Sandler movies in the 90's and early 2000's and I go back and watch them now and I don't laugh like I used to.

However Gleaming the Cube with Christian Slater. I just watched that again, and I have to say I thought it was going to be cheesy like all movies I liked as a kid. I was wrong, it was pretty solid
