Shawn Eichorst, Mike Dobbs, Chris Brasfield and Tim Miles came over to a Husker event together here in Des Moines. Great day all around with golf etc. Was able to talk with Eichorst for awhile and it was terrific. To say he cares about our Husker football program and recruiting is an understatement. He follows everything very closely (recruiting, new rules, trends, etc) and is pushing (and will push) a lot of the right buttons right now. He went into specifics for early signing dates and how they help NU as opposed to others. Reasons being our Spring game, Camps, Big Red Weekends, etc. Other coaches like Urban and Saban not as big of fans. Said kids could have early officials before or after FNL (independent of one another). As Sean C mentioned look for an announcement soon with Adidas. Both sides are both on board and Adidas values DONU as much as any university out there. Overall it's a great relationship that will get even stronger. I didn't get a chance to speak with Miles as others were always around him so tough to say anything here. Also, look for preliminary announcements for South Stadium renovations this fall and starting in 2018. Some things are in the works but didn't get a lot of specifics. Story about hiring Diaco as many know is truly unbelievable. Wouldn't let him leave without getting him. Also, mentioned Rileys passion and terrific health which should be quite a few more years as the head man. I am forgetting quite a bit more but thats what stuck out to me. Overall, had met Shawn before but still very very impressed. We are in good hands and I am a tough critic (as my wife would say) :)
