Dom Raiola Interview

Dude, I know you’ve always been a bit of a troll, but when did you fully come out of the closet?

Interesting… 1st time I read one of his posts I was 100% sure he’s ghey. Not the proverbial ghey, the literal ghey. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

LOL, at the Herbstreit stuff. There's no way IMO that Herbstreit would have any influence on Dylan's decision one way or the other. Anyone who thinks otherwise believes in fairy tales. Dylan decided for himself what he wanted to do and that's as it should be.

“I committed to Nebraska (or any school) because Kirk Herbstreit thought it was a good idea…”

Said no one ever.

I don't think Dylan Raiola ever talked to Herbstreit so no it may not have influenced his decision. The discussion was with Dom Raiola and Herbstreit did tell talk to him about Rhule and what he thought of him as a coach. So while it may not have been exactly as Dom Raiola stated, I totally believe that Herbstreit answered the questions in a way to let Dom know that Rhule was a positive and that he (Rhule) would get Nebraska back to winning football. So any influence would have been directed to Dom Raiola and any doubts he may have had with regards to the direction of Nebraska football.

Also we have no idea as to any influence Dom or his wife had on Dylan's decision. All we have is one side of the story. It is much like a fringe recruit saying he has an offer from xyz university. The only way we know for sure that it is a true offer is when they sign on signing day. One side of the story.

Although it doesn't really matter at this point however it happened, I'm inclined to believe what Dom said. From Dom's account it sounded like Dylan had a last minute change of heart that surprised even his parents although of course everyone knew Dylan had previously been to Nebraska several times. So it wasn't some uninformed last minute switch that anybody had pushed him or advised him to make. When Herbstreit heard the rumor of the switch he called Dom up and was supportive of the choice but that was AFTER Dylan already had made up his mind.

Herbie is a politician through and through. No way is he going to alienate a top 5 program like UGA by admitting he told elder Raiola that his kid should go to Nebraska. But if you read between the lines in what he admitted to saying in the conversation with elder Raiola, one could easily see where elder Raiola could construe what Herbie was saying as young Raiola should go to Nebraska.
Since Dom really wanted his kid to go to NU, I doubt it took much for him to construe what Herbstreit said as positive.

I was just refuting the statement that "There's no way IMO that Herbstreit would have any influence on Dylan's decision one way or the other. Anyone who thinks otherwise believes in fairy tales. Dylan decided for himself what he wanted to do and that's as it should be"

I was stating that any influence Herbstreit had, would have been on Dom.
