I think the fact that Moos hasn't hired a search firm after the criticism of Eichorst for not doing so speaks volumes.

I don't know, do you think that criticism is legitimate, i.e., do you think ADs should hire search firms? I don't.

I mean, we're paying the guy how much money? It's over a million isn't it? Shouldn't he be competent and well-connected enough to find and hire his own guy?

Here's the deal...
If Frost was coming here, we might not know it.
If Frost wasn't coming here, we WOULD know it. Both Frost and Moos have had plenty of opportunities to squash it. They would if it were true. They haven't

Frost is N.

OK, but your conclusion doesn't follow. Assuming your premises are correct, you left out one:

If Frost was undecided, we would NOT know he was coming here.

That would explain Frost and Moos not squashing anything, and yet Frost still might not end up here.

He has said that coaching at Nebraska would be a dream when the OC at Oregon. However, his wife is from Arizona and my guess prefers a warmer place like Florida. He has had mixed to negative feelings about Husker fans as well, and has felt the ire of Husker nation when things don't go well, so acutely it seems to have scarred him. I wouldn't be surprised if he came, but I also would not be surprised if he didn't. As one writer said, it depends on if he wants to create something new or revive something old. Personally, I'd rather create something new, but for Nebraska's sake, let's hope for the latter.

I am seeing a lot of posts on here from people confident that Frost to NU is all but announced and a done deal. If that's you, you should vote "Yes." There are also some posters, seemingly much fewer in number, who think Florida is still a threat and that Frost may not come here after all. If that's you, you should vote "No." I'd like to see what people actually think, gun to your head (figuratively speaking).

Aside from Lars, I'm not aware of any journalists reporting that Frost to NU is a done deal. This confidence instead seems to be motivated largely by internet insiders who may or may not be well-connected to the program, reading way between the lines of Matt Davison's comments during the Iowa broadcast, or a similar parsing of Moos' words.

On the other hand, there are still plenty of reports out there suggesting Florida is still in it for Frost's services (e.g., the ESPN report which people on here just love to dismiss).

Me? I vote No. But I still think we may get Frost for all that. If I had to assign a percentage, I'd put it at 65-35, but that's with having no inside info whatsoever.

Tom Shatel mentions he has had sources tell him so in addition to Lars...

But he is decided.
There's no way he isn't decided, deep down.
And while he may not love NU enough to come here, he surely respects NU enough to let us know the instant he knows we don't have a chance.
Nothing has been signed. Nothing is official. This way they aren't lying.
But they both know.
