I am seeing a lot of posts on here from people confident that Frost to NU is all but announced and a done deal. If that's you, you should vote "Yes." There are also some posters, seemingly much fewer in number, who think Florida is still a threat and that Frost may not come here after all. If that's you, you should vote "No." I'd like to see what people actually think, gun to your head (figuratively speaking).

Aside from Lars, I'm not aware of any journalists reporting that Frost to NU is a done deal. This confidence instead seems to be motivated largely by internet insiders who may or may not be well-connected to the program, reading way between the lines of Matt Davison's comments during the Iowa broadcast, or a similar parsing of Moos' words.

On the other hand, there are still plenty of reports out there suggesting Florida is still in it for Frost's services (e.g., the ESPN report which people on here just love to dismiss).

Me? I vote No. But I still think we may get Frost for all that. If I had to assign a percentage, I'd put it at 65-35, but that's with having no inside info whatsoever.

I think he has made his decision. Whether it's the Huskers is another question.

Thanks, I changed the poll title to eliminate the ambiguity. I also made it so people can change their vote if they said "yes" but were not thinking in favor of NU.

If he’s going to UF, that’s what he’s doing. The package between UF and NU will be pretty much apples to apples. If he wants to stay in FL, there’s little NU can do.

I don’t know one way or the other. I believe at minimum that a deal has been put on paper. Has Frost verbally agreed or signed it and officially agreed to become the next coach is the $64000 question.

If there is any smoke to the Matt Campbell stuff either Frost has said no, hasn’t committed, or it’s a smoke screen and Moos going through the motions to throw the dogs off the scent.

If we all knew for certain if Frost was actually meeting with Florida people or not this weekend could add some clairity.

Bill has SF in the bag. This is a signed and done deal. I can tell you after going through Bill's media video today, that's what has happened. He has no concerns re: Frost's availability, and it certainly is not going to be Chip Kelly. He's got SF wrapped up.

People at the highest level of internet fandom in Gainesville were saying Chip Kelly was guaranteed to be the next coach of UF.

You saw how that worked out.

Guessing on a coach is internet twitter monster's favorite past time.

Frost knows in his heart what he's doin.
We will find out next week. Might be here might not.

This ^^. I believe Frost gave a verbal commitment but also asked Moos to let him finish out his run with UCF through the conference title game and to keep his name quiet in the meantime.
That exactly what I heard about 10 days ago ...he will be in Lincoln just have to be patient....no clue if he coaches their bowl game or not

My own feeling is that we have met with Frost and/or his agents but he has not given us any kind of agreement. I believe it's more likely that he said "I will give you a decision by X date." That would at least make sense of the recent Florida reports and be consistent with what has been reported elsewhere, Lars here being the outlier.

I watched the same video and I'm not sure what you saw that convinced you. Was he comfortable? Yeah. Did he exude confidence? Yeah. But when asked point blank if SF was his priority hire he said: "I don't have a priority hire."

I will say this most don't mention a priority hire because they don't want to lose someone if they were not the first choice.

You said it, I didn’t. LaughingWinking

My guess would be having read the whole internet trying to find things out is that we offered somewhere in the ballpark of 7 years/30 million in Dallas (that 11/4 timeframe matches HTO's timeline of a Moos tone shift).

And that as of the PSU game, Frost had verbally agreed to come to Lincoln. My guess is this was passed on during the Philly meeting.

I’ll just say I believe that if there was a meeting on 11-4 in Dallas it was with one or more 3rd parties (as Moos referenced in his PC). I still believe a meeting on the weekend on 11-17 probably occurred with Moos in Philly.

Honest question, what's the point of getting people off the scent for Moos? Isn't it better to be transparent with us "fragile" fans? Also, it's a distraction for Frost's team unless Frost unequivocally states he is staying at UCF.

Think about it
What would you do ?

Solich gone after doing pretty darn good. Now at Ohio
Callahan gone after doing ok recruited well. Now in nfl as assistant
Bo , did ok now gone and way under his level
All making good bucks
Then Riley , gone

Is neb a place to go about three and out ?
And then go below that level.

So frost goes and three years do t go so good and where is he?
Same with others .. guess the money is good so what the heck

I voted no because I feel he has decided 100%, but I have no idea if it is NU

Isnt it better for Frost to appear undecided with a CCG next week as opposed to certainly gone?

I think the distraction is there regardless. Maybe this is what you mean about getting people off the scent, but if I'm Moos one reason I put out the smoke screen is to stall in order to give the impression that I am in control while waiting to announce Frost. Moos must know how weary we are of how ADs handle this process and without any meat to chew on we might turn on him
