Just finished watching the game.
I thought we played to win for 3 quarters on D. Then we sat back and let a guy who was in Peru for the past 2 years (and JUST got back in June) beat us. We didn't even try and challenge him. We just sat back and let him throw only rushing 3 or 4 for an entire quarter. That was ridiculous.
TA a bit inconsistent, too much of trying to make him into Joe Montanan at times….whereas if we got him involved in the run game it would open up the pass for him as the D would have to back off.
Otherwise i was quite happy with the effort. Lots of positives. Players look better. Better decisions save the D philosophy in the 4th quarter.
Happy to see Imani getting upfield more quickly and falling forward getting yards. Wilbon will be great, reminds me of a young Ameer. LB look great. A WIlliams looks great.
BYU is a tricky tough team, but when their top DT was injured…that sure gave our O a boost.
I like how we battled back after being down 10.
And I like how we used the screen game…..a bit too much perhaps….but the best part was how we showed screen looks and ran plays off of that……something Beck failed to do.
In closing….its football…its so close. TA leads Reilly one more step in the 4th Q and we have a hard-earned W.
