Fits in well with Coach P's, get 2% better at a time. I really like the " no crease ", pressure 3-4 alignment he uses. Former players and coaches say he is especially adept at evaluating a player and getting him to his best position - with individual plans to be the best they can be. How about that ?He's hitting all of the right notes. We will see what he can do with our present talent. It appears that he brings an attitude of consistency makes you better. I thinks its been awhile since their has been a focus on simply getting better.
If he somehow is even in the top five in defense next year, somebody please double the man's salary
LOL, well played ! I remembered that quote from the past, as I typed my positive comments. We have suffered a bit. This gentleman really has the right habits and attitudes to get it done.... He truly improves defenses if you look at his body of work. The proof is in threads and articles and the awards and recognition of his peers. At least we have a coach here, who demands of himself to be a top defense. Some troll the variables, HCMR feels he was the best available , no reason not to go with this. Even Alabama and OSU don't go undefeated every year -"We take what we want!"
No, really, talk is cheap. Not bashing the guy, and I pray on my bad knees that he will be a massive success at Nebraska, but I want to see proof on Saturdays and not just cute slogans.
Cannot be argued. Would truly be a statement; and would embody all they were doing right. You know what I want? One thing...that at the end of every play, we have 11 guys surrounding the ball carrier, almost as a show of impact unity....
RESTORE THE ORDER!!! Wife bought me that t-shirt, and between the immediate weather and our rapid decline, I don't recall ever getting to wear it."We take what we want!"

They should just roll a ball out and play for themselves. No emotion, no team. Works every time.
WOW!!!!! I forgot all about Willis coaching the Jays.....The Willis Reed school of coaching (he was infamous for doing just what you said while HC at Creighton).
I demand that is how they coach! The "Nebraska" way.The Willis Reed school of coaching (he was infamous for doing just what you said while HC at Creighton).
