Deontre Thomas and Final Recruits

Just posted at 247 Sports, Deontre Thomas has received a massive ratings boost to 93, so now he's a 4 star and in the Top 247 (I believe #189 in the country).

So, THAT is great news. So, we're sitting at 15 recruits and we need 5-7 more to finish out our class. It looks like we have a great shot at landing Kurt Rafdal, a quality TE recruit. So, now we're talking 5-6 remaining open spots to get to our goal of 22. It's looking like we'll have to battle USC hard for Joseph Lewis and Greg Johnson, but I expect Williams and Williams to be all over those two once they're allowed contact again.

Has anybody heard the latest on Damion Daniels? It would be amazing to land him now. What about Lenoir? Or Walker, that lineman from Lincoln who is a Wyoming commit but just got a Nebraska offer? Anyone hear anything lately?

This is a must as well as shoring up Watts and closing Daniels...oh, and you know, find another pass rushing DE that is willing to hop on board at the last hour. HUGE three weeks for the big guy!

There was talk of, if we are able to land Daniels (which we ABSOLUTELY should be able to do), moving Thomas to SDE and the other Thomas sticking with WDE. Is it a good idea to have a DE who weighs 280 and will likely pack on another 15-20 pounds of muscle during his redshirt year? Is there such thing as a 295-300 pound fast SDE? Or would you want D. Thomas to stick with DT and we just have 3 DT's this class? Just curious.

Considering the popularity of "NASCAR" packages and the like, I'd be fine with 3DT's and using DThomas as a DE as the need calls for it, with the LB's who show pass rush potential.
